Right now, we’re looking for an enthusiastic and committed Care Assistant to join the team at our care home. Whether we're providing long or short-term, convalescence, respite or palliative care, our focus is on providing the highest quality service at all times.

As a Care Assistant under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, taking responsibility for the physical and emotional well being and social needs of our residents. Assisting residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing and assisting with meals.
Delivering a level of care that truly comes from the heart. It’s about making sure our residents never lose their dignity or sense of individuality as you get involved in general activities within the care home. And, whether you’re helping someone with limited mobility to learn to use an aid, offering emotional support to a confused or distressed resident or delivering care to someone at the end of their life, you’ll always have their well-being in mind above anything else.

About The Role
As a Laundry Assistant at HC One, Kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. For you, that will mean maintaining a high standard of order/tidiness within the laundry area. Keeping our residents’ clothing looking and feeling great, you will be responsible for washing, drying, ironing and repairing items as needed. You will maintain linen stocks for day to day use and raise any issues to the Senior Housekeeper as you go. Safe, comfortable and welcoming, the environment you maintain will be testament to your brilliant eye for detail.

Whether you’re folding/separating of linen/clothes ready to be returned to rooms or re-distribution of clothing to correct rooms, you’ll do so with a sense of kindness above anything else. As a Kitchen Assistant that will mean helping to prepare and serve nutritious, healthy meals that our residents will love. You’ll demonstrate the highest standards in cleanliness, food safety and hygiene. And, whether you’re maintaining food supplies and fridge/freezer temperatures, showing new starters how to use the equipment or scrubbing that last bit of spilled food from inside the oven, you’ll always have Resident wellbeing in mind above anything else.

HC-One are looking for a Chef with an S/NVQ2 in Catering & Hospitality or Professional Cookery, a minimum Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate, and an understanding of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points.

About The Role

As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, Kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. About You
Ideally, you’ll have completed a Level 2 Diploma S/NVQ in Health and Social Care and are prepared to work towards Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or equivalent, a background in person centered care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia. About You
As a nurse at HC-One, you will build on your existing skill set, practicing in a nurse-led environment, developing complex decision making and collaborative skills - to name but a few! You will make a difference to our Residents at a time of their life when they may feel the most vulnerable, and they will look to you to guide and support them in life-changing decisions, which is a humbling and unbelievably rewarding part of the role.

You will be a Registered Nurse with a valid Pin number and will understand your commitment to your profession through the standards of practice set by the NMC.
You will have a passion to mentor and share your knowledge with your Colleagues, along with providing support as a practice supervisor and assessor to students. You will understand the importance of effective communication, both verbally and written, and role model professional behaviours.
You will advocate and deliver a person-centred approach to care for the people living in our care home and their families.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and therefore it is important that you are able to recognise the signs which may indicate possible abuse, harm or neglect in its different forms and know what to do if there are any concerns. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in associated areas. You also have the ability to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
