Experienced Document Controller required to join a leading residential contractor based in Poole, on a contract basis. Aiding with an array of residential projects ranging in value up to £165M across the south coast.

As the Document Controller you will be working closely alongside the production and commercial teams, design consultancies and subcontractors. You will be responsible for seeing projects through from conception to completion.

This Document Controller role will involve regular client interaction, controlling of the construction management systems, management of drawing documents, overseeing, and ensuring client return documents are sufficient with system standards as well as other ad-hoc administrative duties.

This Document Controller role is with a busy regional south coast based residential contractor group, with a secured pipeline of work. You will be an experienced Document Controller preferably with a main contractor background and Turbodesk experience. The individual projects are expected to be worth between £2m and £10m in value.

The ideal candidate would reside in the region between Bournemouth and Bristol and will be expected to cover multiple sites as well as attending monthly meetings at the company's headquarters in West Hampshire.

Production of monthly reports Liaise with the Senior QS (Quantity Surveyor), Site QS.

Taking responsibility for a contract at handover from the estimator Plan & monitor resource requirements.

What you will be doing:

An opportunity has arisen for an Commissioning Engineer to join the team for my client who is a Tier 1 Contractor delivering vital upgrade and improvement works to a major water treatment project in the Bournemouth area.

Ideally, you will be based in the Hampshire / Dorset area and will have the opportunity to work on future projects in the region, if successful.

The primary purpose of the role is associated with the planning, executing, and documenting of commissioning activities on projects and programme of works in a safe manner, fully in accordance with the Client and the company (including specific framework deliverables) processes, systems, and procedures.

The Commissioning Engineer role operates within a matrix management arrangement which reports to:

• the Project Manager in respect of planning, progress, safety and quality, and;
• the Commissioning Manager in respect of project allocation, governance and training needs

About You:

• Demonstrate experience in the successful and safe commissioning of complex projects within the water industry in a contracting environment.
• Good financial and commercial awareness to recognise change and provide supporting details on the impact.
• Good communication skills to enhance interaction with the Client / project teams and ensure that the commissioning phase is implemented successfully
• Demonstrate a systematic approach to solving complex problems and recording the actions / outcomes.
• Ability to generate concise reports as deliverables for the commissioning processes.
• Ability to work in a multi-discipline team to achieve targets and delivery dates.
• The Commissioning Engineer shall have:
• Excellent working knowledge of sewage and water treatment processes, systems and typical M&E plant / equipment.
• Clear understanding of the structured approach to the commissioning process and the importance of concise, clear and accurate records from a quality management system.
• Ability to implement formal safety system in conjunction with behaviour-based approaches within a dynamic environment for the benefit of all. Preferably having the ability to receive and issue safety documents to manage risk on behalf of the Company.
