What You’ll Be Doing:
Position Summary
The Evolent Data Operations team is currently looking for an experienced Data Analyst who possesses the ability to transform and provide supportive guidance within a team setting. This role within the team dynamic requires the candidate to exude patience, diligence, and sharp focus to meet the expectations set forth by the responsibilities of the role. This position requires one to possess and demonstrate strong interpersonal (oral/written) skills as communication is critical to success of overall team performance in addition to individual performance. On the Data Operations team, we have a great team atmosphere in which we all work collaboratively together to accomplish our goals and/or tasks. There is no “I” type of mindset within the Data Operations team; collaboration is key to Data Ops meeting established SLA/OLAs and monitoring of several enterprise SOPs. The Data Analyst individual will be working with several other teams and/or departments in the following, but not limited to, capacity: (1) remediating data issues pertaining to processes which require a coordinated effort between multiple teams (2) working on developing short/long term solutions pertaining to processes which may require optimization and/or re-engineering to better meet organizational and/or team needs (3) assisting other teams and/or departments to help operationalize tasks (e.g. defining procedures & creating SOPs) that may require additional support not currently present (4) communicating vital information with internal and external stakeholders related to daily operational tasks and/or status of monitored processes.
The Data Analyst main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following: (1) managing and working directly with onshore/offshore team(s) to remediate issues related to data issues encountered on a daily basis (2) independently and/or collaboratively completing supplemental projects outside of the expected responsibilities and/or operations to optimize and contribute to the continued growth of the organization (3) working on tasks, data issues or other initiatives related to both Data Operations and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) focus areas (4) continually working with reporting manager to accomplish larger team initiatives and contribute to the team’s performance towards meeting such initiatives/goals (5) Maintaining SLA’s on tickets and bringing it to resolution via working with different internal teams.
From a technical perspective, this position entails routinely working with tools such as, but not limited to, the following: SQL Server Management Studio/SSIS/SSRS, SAS, Microsoft suite/tools (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerShell, Outlook, Teams), File/ETL workflow applications (e.g. ETL coordination tools and MoveIT File Monitor), Atlassian products (e.g. Confluence, JIRA), Bot (RPA – Robot Process Automation) application, Windows Task Scheduler and several internal built applications etc.
Overall, the ideal candidate is a strong critical thinker and problem solver, detail oriented, possesses as a strong work ethic, believes in team success prior to individual success and wants to be an active participant within a fun, loving, team atmosphere. Essential functions
- Monitor, Execute and Remediation of Daily Operational Processes
- Monitor bot automation processes to ensure end-to-end file processing is completed with high efficiency and on timely basis for client and/or internal stakeholders to best meet or exceed prescribed SLAs/OLAs measured against
- Monitor various client inbound & outbound data file extract creations and remediate job failure issues as they arise.
- Facilitate monthly manual file loading processes.
- Communicate with client facing support leads to provide real time updates regarding file loading status’ and/or potential delays to the timeliness of loading of client data.
- Monitor and execute monthly Clinical UI refresh processes to support client and/or internal stakeholder needs for timely data pushes to end user application.
- Troubleshoot various SQL server and/or SSIS issues to ensure successful end to end processing of client data to various data marts and/or data warehouses.
- Perform data validation on various data warehouse extracts to ensure accuracy and/or integrity of data is maintained throughout the entire ETL process.
- Update, maintain, provision access and answer inquiries related to enterprise-wide inventory application of all live production interfaces.
- Remediate ETL issues and provide timely feedback and/or follow-up to internal stakeholder’s inquiries related to MOVEit file application
- Collaborate with Internal Teams to Operationalize New and/or Optimize Existing Tasks
- Update operational process tickets and request status updates to processes as applicable.
- Work to establish and maintain strong relationships of all internal groups, particularly Market Ops (client facing team), in order to maintain high expectations and output of team and organizational throughput.
- Coordinate multiteam faceted processes within Evolent business units
- (e.g. CMS monthly file load process – requires close coordination between multiple teams (Payer Data Services, Client Analytics, Data Operations and Market Operations) in order to ensure timeliness of data loading to meet prescribed SLAs/OLAs/KPIs. This operational task is coordinated and monitored by Data Ops team)
- Assist with Tier 2 and Tier 3 internal support teams to remediate complex data issues and discuss optimization or migration of current operational tasks overseen by these respective teams to Data Ops for process optimization within the organization.
- Work with teams and/or other departments within the organization to complete special project requests which require building new processes, solutions, documentation etc. which may not currently exist but is needed and/or required to meet expectations set forth by business needs.
- Coordinate with internal development teams to identify, prioritize and implement solutions to potential bugs and/or known inefficient processes.
- Implement and Develop New or Recently Transitioned Processes
- Work with US based team to transition SOPs from other teams and/or departments within the organization in a timely and efficient to free up resource(s) for new business needs established by new client contract commitments and/or client implementations.
- Create process documentation in Confluence (Atlassian) application for other team members to reference for future trainings or new hire.
- Work with US based team to Complete Essential Functions and Projects
- Identify, analyze, and assess areas of improvement in operations overseen by Data Operations and apply process improvement and/or tools where needed (as applicable) in effort to provide functionality and/or solutions where gap or inefficient process may exist.
- (e.g. Develop MOVEit functionality/create MOVEit jobs where needed, create batch file scripts to apply automation to improve operations where applicable)
- Work with hiring manager to measure and establish goals to meet annual SLA\OLA\KPI metrics established for evaluation of overall team success and contributions made to organization throughout the year.

Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education (required)
- 4-7 years of customer service or customer relationship (CRM) management experience (preferred)
- 4-7 years minimum of experience with SQL Server Management Studio (required)
- Strong interpersonal and/or communication skills (e.g. will need to communicate with internal and external stakeholders on regular basis) (required)
- Substantial knowledge of ETL and Data Warehousing processes (required)
- Abundant knowledge of Microsoft Suite applications (e.g. Word, Excel) and their functions (required)
- Has strong ability to apply problem solving and critical thinking skills in unfamiliar and/or unknown situations to solve complex problems (required)
- Knowledge of Healthcare Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) & Medical Billing transactions
- 4-7 years minimum of experience with Atlassian (Jira/Confluence) applications and/or similar equivalents (preferred)
- Working knowledge of the fundamental of systems analysis and different components of systems (preferred)
- Ability to execute small projects and actively participate in all phases of the project timeline (preferred)
- Ability to develop, refine and document business related SOPs with minimal oversight (preferred)
- Proven track record in hitting KPI and/or similar evaluation targets (as defined by company standards) (preferred)
