Brief Overview of the Role:

Euromonitor International has an established client base in Japan across different industries. The Account Manager (AM) plays a critical and unique role, managing a territory of existing clients in the consumer products industry space, AMs are personally responsible for securing renewals, growing revenues and embedding Passport (product) and Euromonitor.

We seek client relationships where Passport is regarded as a must-have strategic tool (therefore ensuring renewal) and we should be increasing revenues from a growing base of contacts and a better understanding of client organization, strategy and priorities. AMs are expected to expand the value of our current partnerships by further entrenching our data and analysis with current and new users.

Account Manager will be mainly managing existing Passport subscribers of Japanese leading players in FMCG industries. With the assigned accounts, you are expected to:

Overview of the role

Located in Tokyo, the Consulting Manager (CM) is responsible for a team of individuals and is responsible for driving the development of that team, while ensuring the delivery of high-quality service and deliverables, within given cost controls. The CM is also responsible for promoting a culture of active intra- and inter-team collaboration to assure that the Consulting Department is fully leveraging the resources available across Euromonitor International. It is important that a CM demonstrates a keen commercial awareness, working in close liaison with Business Development staff as required and through contact with clients (new and repeat).

Reporting to the Head of Consulting, Asia Pacific (HoC), the CM will have the following objectives:

• To ensure effective resourcing and successful execution of each team member’s projects, developing actionable insights for clients.
• To support Business Development (CGBD) and sales in reviewing proposals and identifying new research capabilities.
• To drive collaboration (intra-team and cross-department) in order to better leverage knowledge sources, improve our global solutions, and advance individual development.

Key responsibilities

Research:

The CM is fully responsible for the day-to-day management of team activities, providing support and guidance from project assignment to deliverable and debrief. The CM is expected to routinely, engage with team members to ensure that appropriate planning, methodologies and validation mechanisms are in place to generate sound findings. Typical research activities include:

• Project/Staff Line Management: Day-to-day line management of Consulting Analysts, Senior Consulting Analysts, Associate Consultants, Consultants, Senior Consultants, and, Team Leads, as appropriate.

• Occasional Project Management and Execution: Ensure the successful management and execution of all projects and clients within a pre-defined research vertical, from inception to delivery. This role will, occasionally, involve a limited amount of own-project execution, ideally limited to one-quarter of the work assigned to a typical senior consultant to allow for management of the broader team, but fluctuating based on relative capacity and workflow demands.
• Process Improvement / Development: Develop and implement methods and procedures for monitoring ad-hoc project work including research content, quality control, client deadlines, costs, and efficiency/capacity considerations.
• Resource Management: work closely with recruiters to ensure that projects are adequately resourced and that the pool and quality of contract analysts matches an expanding workload both in volume of projects and complexity of content.

Commercial:

The CM will support and drive business generation efforts by working closely with commercial teams (most regularly CGBD). Typical commercial activities include:

• Strategic proposal feedback: to guide and check business/client development and account management proposal content to ensure we propose the most appropriate solutions. Where appropriate, to delegate proposal reviews to correct senior staff.
• Support consulting sales effort: attending client pitches/teleconferences, using Salesforce, training/updating business/client development and account managers on custom research solutions and experience. • Quarterly Share-out sessions: create formal share-out sessions on a quarterly basis for sales staff to more clearly understand our unique selling points.

The internal application of generative AI (Gen AI) within our core Research and Consulting operations will be pivotal to our ability to optimise and interpret sources, accelerate the production of deliverables and augment our collective human intelligence.

Introduction

We are looking for a hands-on Lead Architect who is extremely passionate and versatile in learning new technologies very quickly and contributing at the strategic and tactical level. Some of the key responsibilities of the Lead Architect include working with a globally distributed Architecture Team to ensure you are all aligned with the strategy we are pursuing. Overview of the role
