RESPONSIBILITIES
General
- To lead and manage projects from start to finish, including planning, execution, and closure.
- To lead the development, implementation and monitoring of project conception and design.
- Manage project scope, timelines, and resources to ensure successful project delivery on time.
- To train, provide guidance and support to project team members where necessary.
- Execute assigned tasks effectively and accurately within project timeline
- Conduct sufficient research, literature reviews, evaluations, and analysis to support project deliverables.
- Act as the key contact person and provide timely updates and communicate with project stakeholders.
- Develop materials for training, webinars, seminar, presentations etc.
- Develop and present project progress, findings and recommendations to clients
- Identify opportunities for improving project delivery methods and procedures.
- Support additional task as assigned when required.
Employees may be assigned to more than one projects at any time. Depending on the projects assigned, below are the detailed responsibilities. Note that projects listed are just examples and may cover other ECRI’s consultancy offerings.
Healthcare Technology Planning
- Lead, manage and execute of full spectrum of Healthcare Technology Planning projects
- Conduct needs assessments to identify specific equipment requirements based on clinical departmental workflows, patient needs, and facility capabilities.
- Research and identify potential equipment solutions that meet established criteria, including functionality, performance, compatibility, and budget constraints.
- Perform research and communicate with various suppliers to gather cost, mechanical or electrical requirements.
- Lead the development of detailed equipment specifications outlining technical features, performance requirements, user interface needs, safety certifications, and warranty terms.
- Lead in managing the tender process, i.e. tender submission, tender evaluation etc
- Coordinate with various stakeholders throughout the project phases for updates, meetings, or document needs
Risk Profiling
- Lead the review of client's existing risk profiles for assigned medical equipment.
- Analyze the accuracy of risk level assignments based on factors such as severity of potential harm to patients, location of use within the facility, intended purpose of the equipment, industry best practices and regulatory guidelines etc
- Recommend adjustments to risk profiles with justification and supporting evidence.
- Collaborate with the team to develop a standardized risk profiling process for future use.
Asset Standardization
- Review client’s list of medical equipment to ensure coherence with ECRI’s protocol and nomenclature.
- Perform on-site reviews to consolidate product information and verification
- Execute asset standardization work by using ECRI’s established protocol and nomenclature.
Secondary Research
- Conduct comprehensive healthcare-related secondary research to support project deliverables. Topics may include emerging healthcare technologies, best practices in healthcare, effectiveness or efficiency of certain healthcare technologies in a specific setting etc.
- Prepare insightful reports and presentations that translate complex data into actionable recommendations for clients.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 5 year(s) of working experience in a Project Management role, preferably in a healthcare facility, medical equipment planning firm, or consultancy.
- Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering (or electrical, mechanical engineering with proven experience in a healthcare facility), or other healthcare related qualifications.
- This is an on-site job with travel required (within Malaysia and abroad).
- Highly proficient in English.
- Ability to work both in a team and independently, responsible, and accountable.
