You will be responsible for leading clinical practice in the inpatients wards to reduce the over reliance on specialling (enhanced observation) and move to a culture of therapeutic engagement.

Using best practice guidance, you will support clinical teams on the wards in engaging safe practices in the management of acute disturbance to reduce harm whilst driving the Reducing Restrictive Practice Agenda.

• Compile the Trust’s annual budget, ensuring that robust systems are in operation to control budget movements
• Production of financial performance reports to deadlines, including analysis of variances and interpretation of trends and identification of risks.

Head of Quality Assurance

This is an exciting role to join the Business and Transformation team in CWPTs Adult and Older Adult Mental Health Directorate. We are the organisation largest directorate and this is a senior leadership role. The post holder will have autonomy and be responsible for the delivery of quality and operational improvement strategy. The role will be critical to support delivery of directorate and trust objectives by enhancing clinical models of care.

They will be expert in the monitoring of clinical and operational outcomes of services and will understand how to find unwanted variances in clinical practice and clinical outcomes for patients.

They will use this knowledge to work with clinical teams where a differentiation is demonstrated, working with that clinical team to understand immediate and longer-term issues which need support to resolve. They will be the directorate champion for evidence-based and best practice working, enabling and facilitating sharing of the same across teams within the directorate.

They will be actively interested in the leadership and working behaviours, which underpin how teams function, to create bespoke development packages for clinical teams aligned to their individual needs and ambitions.

They will lead service reviews and evaluations for the directorate to capture quality, value for money and how we can reduce health inequalities and optimise positive access, experience and outcomes for staff and patients.

This work will focus in particular on the facilitation of teams/professionals to work effectively together (this may be with teams and organisations from outside CWPT).

The post-holder is a key member of the Senior Management Team. The post-holder is accountable to the Head of clinical commissioning and will work closely with Team.

• As clinical Manager the postholder will support innovative and creative ways to deliver our system program ambitions for LDA, working closely with system partners, encouraging challenge to ourselves to continuallyimprove outcomes and efficiency’s both as an organisation and system.
