We are currently seeking a full time Healthcare Assistant to work within our busy 27 bedded Female Trauma orthopaedic ward. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team.

To provide all aspects of general care to orthopaedic patients, working flexibly to meet the needs of the service.

You will be required to assist the qualified staff caring for patients who may have medical conditions and have sustained fractures or have an acute orthopaedic condition.


You will be part of a dedicated team in providing individualised holistic care working within the bay based nursing approach, to maintain and improve the standards we have met. The vacancy is internal rotation and 37.5 hours per week. Support will be offered through Trust Induction, completion of Care Certificate and our Practice Development Sister.

The Assistant Research Practitioner will work collaboratively within a team of Research Nurses and Practitioners working on NIHR portfolio, commercial and academic studies within a flexible research workforce to ensure a seamless care for research participants at the trust covering a 24 hour 7 day service.

3. The Assistant Research Practitioner will contribute to appropriate data collection systems for patient data and monitoring data., in accordance with the research protocol.

This is a purpose-built area set up to prevent unnecessary admissions and relieve the pressures of our busy Emergency Department. The successful candidate will be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service. Main duties of the post holder will include providing personal care, documenting changes within the patients, dietary and fluid intake as well as fluid output, bowel movements, general condition and presentation as well as escalating to other healthcare professionals. We are looking for an enthusiastic team player with excellent communication skills and desire to deliver quality patient care. Assist in the care of patients after they have suffered a stroke
