Applications are invited for a locum replacement Consultant Cellular Pathologist / Histopathologist post in the Department of Cellular Pathology at Barts Health NHS Trust. The appointment is to provide Histopathology reporting within Gynaecological Pathology for Barts Health and the other hospitals for which we undertake service provision. The post is based in the state-of-the-art Pathology and Pharmacy building at the Royal London hospital in Whitechapel. Cellular pathology services are provided along specialist lines. The department provides a high quality service and the appointee will be a full and active member of the team.

We are looking for a team of medical laboratory assistants to support the provision of our 24/7 service 7 days a week. The role will deliver a hybrid function of specimen reception and laboratory duties for Haematology, Blood Transfusion and Infection divisions. Applicants must have a strong team ethos, with a positive attitude to working in a flexible manner, committed to supporting the clinical services of the Trust and meeting the needs of our patients by participating in an Agenda for Change shift system.

The post holder will integrate with the technical & scientific laboratory team and will take direction from Biomedical Scientists in supporting Operational Leads for ESEL sites.

The Waltham Forest Women’s Health Hub is seeking an experienced and innovative Project Manager to lead on the the development and implementation of a new single point of access for gynaecology referrals and multidisciplinary clinics in the community. This role will involve coordinating a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care, and optimizing resources to meet the evolving needs of women in our community as well as managing the mobilisation and implementation of the Women’s Health Hub in Waltham Forest. This role will also have oversight of the Tower Hamlet’ Women’s Health Hub (established) and support the inception of the Newham Women’s Health Hub due 2025-2026.

The post holder will be a highly motivated and experienced midwife who will enhance a patient experience service that involves listening to women and pregnant people's experience of care via the birth reflections service, feedback from Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership, the Picker survey and Friends and Family Test. The purpose of the NHS East and South East London Pathology Partnership (ESEL) is to provide patients with a high-quality, cost-effective service, and ensure the longer-term sustainability of NHS pathology services in east and south east London.



We are a new organisation, jointly owned by Barts Health NHS Trust, Homerton University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. Clinical Biochemistry laboratories are equipped with Cobas 8000(Roche diagnostics) instruments, which are integrated with automated workflow solution.



The specialist clinical chemistry work areas based at RLH are equipped with D-100 (Biorad Laboratories), Ultimate 3000 (Thermo Scientific), Acquity UPLC (Waters), AAnalyst 800 (Perkin Elmer), Indiko Plus (Thermo Scientific), Capillarys (Sebia), Hydrasys (Sebia), Xevo TQ-S micro LCMS (Waters) and Optilite (Binding site).



We are looking for Associate Practitioners to join the Clinical Biochemistry teams located across the partnership laboratories. Successful candidates will be placed at a ‘base’ laboratory but work flexibly across different teams and partnered laboratories.

Pathology is made up of the following services - Blood Sciences including Haematology, Blood Transfusion and Biochemistry; Infectious Diseases including Microbiology and Virology; Cellular Pathology including Histopathology, non-gynae Cytology and mortuary services; Immunology; Cytogenetics and Molecular Haematology; Immunophenotyping; Clinical Transplantation and Retinoblastoma.

This role will work closely with the Service Manager for Anaesthetics and Critical Care and the Service Manager for Medical Equipment, and will also have a close working relationship with the Surgical Specialties Teams and the Emergency Care and Trauma Teams.

You will also establishandoversee specific workstreams that are part of the Theatres Efficiency Group. A strong patient focussed attitude and a collaborative working approach is key.
