The main duties and responsibilities of this post include:-

1. To oversee space utilisation across a large complex multi-site organisation.

2. To lead on the management and resolution of space requests from Trust Clinical and Corporate services and Divisions arising from consolidation and rationalisation of services or requests for additional space.

The post holder will hold a case load and work as an occupational therapist across Haringey community services, to provide assessment, plan and implement interventions, evaluate treatment and ensure safe discharge. The post holder will provide both specialist occupational therapy assessments and offer a strengths based, recovery focused approach with the aim of enhancing daily living skills, and engagement in meaningful and purposeful activities for service users across the community. The occupational therapist will work across services providing specific time limited interventions with clear goals established with the service user and in conjunction with the supporting clinical team.

The team includes psychology and occupational therapy staff, speech and language therapist and substance misuse workers. This is one of three mixed gender adult psychiatric wards located within the Dennis Scott Unit, Edgware Community Hospital. Thames ward is embedded within the Hospital Services division. The Enfield Urgent Care Service is supported by the Enfield Local Authority Approved Mental Health Professionals (AMHP) service.

The Enfield Consultant body is a close-knit group of 15 colleagues, mostly holding substantive posts, which meet regularly in formal and informal meetings scheduled on a weekly basis via MS teams on a Monday. Various issues arediscussed i.e. local and trust-wide managerial issues, vacancies, training concerns, etc. The Clinical Directors (CDs) and Enfield Associate Clinical Director (ACD) regularly attend this meeting and update the consultant body. Consultants are actively encouraged and supportive to take on management and leadership roles and to contribute to the broader strategic planning of the Trust. There are regular trust academic conferences (trust wide academic program on Wednesday afternoons via MS Teams) and trust corporate conferences (twice yearly).

The consultant group has an established culture of mutual support, collaborative working and shared decision making. In addition to this, the partnership holds joint Medical and Clinical Advisory Groups for all consultants, currently virtual and 2-monthly although this program is subject to review.

Consultants are expected to regularly attend the weekly consultant meeting and the weekly academic program. Whilst several CPD peer groups have formed within Enfield, the consultants are also encouraged to seek peer groups outside the organization as an opportunity to network and share experience with colleagues from other services. A monthly Balint-Group for consultants has re-started. This gives opportunity to conduct in-depth case-based discussions (CbD) required for annual appraisals and revalidation. New consultants (up to five years following appointments) are encourages to link in as a group and are supported by the Medical Leads during their induction. New consultants are also encouraged to make use of the Start Well program facilitated by the Royal College of Psychiatrists. All new consultants are given the opportunity to seek a mentor within or outside the organization as part of their job plan.

The post also comes at a time of extra resources being made available to the community services to have a broader remit to engage clients who are traditionally caught between primary and secondary care, offer help at the point of crisis (with the aim of cutting waiting times) and offering evidence based psychological treatment and physical health monitoring in line with national standards. The increased recruitment of voluntary care sector staff is with the awareness that clinical care accounts for only 20% of health outcomes, while socioeconomic, behavioural, and environmental factors determine the remaining 80%.

You will be a Senior Practitioner within the Learning Disability and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder Keyworker Service for Barnet Enfield and Haringey: providing direct support to children with learning disabilities and/or autism with mental health needs and/or presenting with behaviours of concern.



The LD/ASD Keyworker Service provides intensive interventions for children and young people who are part of the LD & ASD cohort. The aim is to keep children, young people in the community, to prevent avoidable admissions to Tier 4 inpatient mental health services and 52-week residential placements, and to support young people in this cohort, to be discharged from Tier 4 services and be supported back into the community.



You will be liaising and coordinating with a range of teams and organisations across Barnet, Enfield, and Haringey, including CAMHS providers, social care teams, Tier 4 providers, schools, and other community health providers.

The training forms part of the service transformation initiative delivered by NHS England as part of the Children and Young People’s Psychological Trainings (CYP-PT) programme.

This is a training position post holder will undertake training at Kings College London alongside working in service for Haringey CAMHS. They will be taught to deliver evidence based guided self-help interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties. We are excited to be advertising two Structured Clinical Management (SCM) practitioner roles based here in adult secondary care in Haringey.

The SCM Practitioner role offers the opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced mental health practitioner to further develop their skills in offering an evidenced-based intervention for service users with Complex Emotional Needs (CEN). The post holder will work alongside other SCM practitioners, psychological therapists and mental heath professionals to implement SCM as part of a core offer.

The successful candidate will be a qualified Mental Health Practitioner (e.g. RMN, Occupational Therapist, Clinical Associate Psychologist) and may have additional training in SCM, DBT or MBT and an interest in complex PTSD and complex trauma. You will work as a member of the Complex Emotional Needs team providing 1-1 and group interventions to service users with complex emotional and relational needs and other comorbidities (e.g. PTSD symptoms) as part of a core offer. You will work with a caseload of people within the SCM programme.

In order tomeet the needs of the new Partnership services you may berequiredfrom time to time to work atdifferent locationsto your normal place of work. This may mean that youare required towork at any location that fall underBarnet,Enfield and Harringay Trust and Camden and Islington Trust. The Trust reserves the right to require staff to work at such other places or locations as it considers reasonable and necessary on a temporary or permanent basis.





1The post holder is expected to establish and maintain positive interpersonal relationships with other staff members characterised by trust, mutual respect, and open, honest communication.



· Alongside other SCM practitioners to support training of SCM when required.

· To maintain the highest standards of clinical record keeping including electronic entry and recording, report writing and the responsible exercise of professional governance in accordance with professional codes of practice of the regulating body and Organisation.

Alongside others to maintain digit systems related to the smooth running of SCM.

• To use a high level of interpersonal skills, reasoning and negotiation skills to establish a therapeutic relationship with people with complex emotional difficulties managing barriers to communication.

• To collaborate with the service user to enable the individual to be a partner in care.

• To undertake SCM assessment to include, mental health and risk assessments, psychological formulation and care planning.

• To provide SCM in both 1-1 sessions and group sessions in conjunction with other practitioners

• To act as a named worker for the service users allocated to your care practising without direct supervision and with a degree of autonomy.

• To make onward referrals and signpost to other services including VCSE and neighbourhood services to enable wrap around, holistic support for service users undergoing treatment to meet a broad range of need.

• To participate in MDT discussions

• To liaise with and develop relationships with other agencies involved in the service users care to ensure consistent multi agency approach and maintain effective communication

• Provide advice and guidance to other members of the team in relation to SCM.

• To attend and participate in weekly SCM supervision and individual clinical supervision.

• To participate in other clinical duties as appropriate.
