This position is located in the Joint Forces Headquarters-State, Logistics Directorate (J-4), Surface Maintenance Facility. The purpose of the position is to serve as an inspector of surface maintenance equipment to ensure that physical and operating characteristics are within acceptable standards and specifications. Duties involve complex inspection work that requires a wide variety of inspection processes and techniques. May assist higher graded inspectors, as required.

Inspects and performs tests to braking, steering, and differential systems, which are mechanically integrated with the transmission; to large engines, which directly power multiple hydraulic and pneumatic systems; to intricate fuel injection systems; to turret stabilization systems; and to other systems combined in a single, complex mechanical assembly. Uses specially designed testing methods and test equipment such as computerized test sets, precision gauges, electronic sensors, injector test stands, engine scopes, etc., to assure that tolerance and safety factors have been met.
• Inspects equipment to determine repairs needed. Utilizes established Maintenance Expenditure Limits (MEL) to evaluate economic feasibility of repair(s). Considers a variety of factors such as cost and availability of parts, man-hours, and impact of time constraints on the mission to assess whether repair is economical. Recommends to a higher echelon to condemn equipment when the repair costs exceed the established MEL. Prepares lists of needed repairs, parts, and man-hours authorized. Performs in-process inspections to assure that equipment is being repaired in accordance with pertinent requirements. Performs final inspection, certifying that equipment is in satisfactory operating condition, or rejects the work and returns the equipment to the repair shop with specific reports prescribing additional repairs.
• Serves as inspector on Command Maintenance Evaluation Teams (COMET) and/or as a member of Maintenance Assistance and Instruction Teams (MAIT).

As a Supply Systems Analyst, GS-2003-09, you will perform analysis of supply management procedures, services, and directives.

This job is located in a National Guard maintenance facility, warehouse, training site, supply or support type facility. Its purpose is to oversee one or more product lines, a segment of a large warehouse, or serve as the senior employee in a smaller warehouse or supply facility.

• Performs the full range of warehousing activities to include receiving, storing, selecting and shipping general or specialized bulk and bin materials and equipment. Develops, or assists in the development of plans for storage and arrangement of stock to determine warehouse configuration, setup, movement, rearrangement and traffic flow. In larger warehouse facilities, the incumbent typically develops storage and space utilization plans in accordance with regulations for a specific commodity or equipment group. In hazardous materials storage areas, incumbent insures the safe receipt, storage, and movement of hazardous and toxic materials and substances such as ammunition, explosives, chemicals, or radioactive materials in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements. In smaller warehouses, the incumbent may serve as the senior non supervisory worker of the facility, laying out storage space, establishing item locations, determining organization and arrangement of stock, and identifying high and low usage items. May serve as the senior member of a warehouse project team of material handlers involved in a special project such as relocating a major commodity or equipment group, or setting up a new commodity group area.
• May coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments and placement of materials with docking area and scheduling personnel to facilitate movement in accordance with priorities, scheduling requirements, and space allocations. May operate large warehouse perimeter vehicles such as cargo tractors, stake trucks, and jumbo tugs.

Provides technical expertise for the State ARNG Safety and Occupational Health Management Systems (ASOHMS) within the broad framework of statutory public law, DOD, Army, and National Guard policy, goals, and objectives. Executes resources for personnel requirements and safety programs necessary to support program goals, objectives, and directives. Implements SOH plans, requirements, methods, and assess risks to improve safety in the workplace and off-duty environments.

As a Social Worker, GS-0185-12, you will facilitate preventive, remedial, and support services to optimize psychological health and readiness of National Guard (NG) military members and their families. As part of the Office of the State Surgeon, the incumbent exercises technical oversight of behavioral health (BH) programs and supports the development of an annual program strategy to determine priorities, gaps, needs, and means to achieve annual goals. Serves as a state liaison to the Army National Guard (ARNG) and Joint Surgeon BH programs; ensures timely and accurate state BH reporting and represents the state on ARNG BH Work Group. Major duties focus on coordination and implementation of BH programs and processes encompassing: (1) outreach and education, (2) population health surveillance, (3) command consultation, (4) screening and evaluation, (5) crisis intervention, (6) physical profiling, (7) treatment referral networks, (8) case management efforts, and (9) quality assurance. Responsibilities include providing: primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention programs, specialty training for NG health care professionals and other personnel on issues related to the psychological health of Guardsmen and their families, and multi-level community organization, collaboration, and enhancement.

(1) Performs limited diagnosis, routine repairs and maintenance on heavy-duty mobile equipment, combat, tactical and automotive vehicles. Assists higher graded mechanics in the repair and/or overhaul of major systems to include internal combustion engines, turbine engines, automatic and non-automatic transmissions, heavy duty drive line systems, and hydraulic utility systems and controls. Makes routine repairs that can be accomplished by removing, adjusting, or replacing defective or worn parts and components. Performs work in accordance with technical manuals, lubrication orders, maintenance bulletins, regulations or management policies.
(2) Performs limited diagnoses to determine the cause of mechanical failures by means of visual and auditory checks and/or uses basic test equipment such as compression testers, voltmeters, ohmmeters and pressure gauges. Determines when parts should be cleaned, adjusted or replaced with standard parts to complete work orders.
(3) Removes, replaces, adjusts, cleans and installs parts and components such as wheel seals, switches, sensors, fuel pumps, water pumps, power steering pumps, brakes, filters, radiators, bearings, springs, shock absorbers, wheel cylinders, starter motors, mufflers, battery cables, and other items of similar complexity.
(4) Independently performs routine repairs and maintenance functions in remote locations that can be accomplished by removing, cleaning, reinstalling, or replacing defective parts of components and systems using standard parts. Receives guidance and instruction from a higher graded mechanic or supervisor to perform non-routine and more complex repairs on portions of major assemblies and/or systems. May provide field maintenance at unit locations as part of a "contact team". Recovers and evacuates inoperable vehicles from the unit location of breakdown.
(5) Conducts limited readiness and repair inspections on vehicles and associated equipment supported by the activity. Performs Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) and ensures vehicles and equipment are properly serviced, including brake adjustments, replacing hydraulic fluids, greasing, cleaning, etc. Performs other preventive maintenance operations as required to ensure that equipment is functioning properly.
(6) May perform routine maintenance and limited repairs on basic communication equipment such as radios, field telephones, amplifiers, switchboards, recorders, intercoms by removing and replacing components and elements. Performs minor body and fender, or other metal repairs, using peening hammers, dollies and limited welding. Performs limited repairs and routine maintenance on small arms and accessory equipment by replacing worn or damaged parts. Makes minor repairs to canvas and leather items using bonding/sealing compounds and hand tools such as awls, canvas needles etc.
(7) In conjunction with or in the absence of the Tools and Parts Attendant, may maintain supply documentation, and the receipt, store, issue, and inventory of tools and parts used in the trades operation.(8) Performs other duties as assigned.

This position is located in the Army National Guard (ARNG) Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics (DCSLOG/G4), Distribution Management Division, Plans Policy and Readiness Branch. Its purpose is to develop command logistics guidance and support plans for federal and state missions.

• --Formulates and implements the comprehensive logistics support plans, policies and logistics operations support, based on logistics data and requirements obtained from the Joint Force Headquarters (JFHQ) staff, units, USPFO, NGB and other organizations.
• --Develops, coordinates and implements policies, procedures and requirements for unit deployment, inter-service support agreements as approved by the USPFO, emergency support for civil authorities, training exercises support and environmental compliance. Ensures coordination between units, JFHQ staff, USPFO, NGB and other agencies on command logistics support requirements. Initiates equipment redistribution guidance. Responsible for operation of the logistics operations center to support JFHQ Emergency Operations Center for Federal and State missions.
• --Obtains data from the Unit Status Report and the Material Readiness Report to determine and improve logistics readiness. Consolidates all logistics readiness indicators to formulate an assessment of the command logistics readiness of the state. Develops the Equipment on Hand policy that directs the supply and services officer and (DOL) DCSLOG/G4 to initiate equipment redistribution actions within the command.
• --Develops, staffs and implements logistics plans for material fielding, mission support and mobilization. As a Military and Family Readiness Manager, GS-0301-12, you will budget, direct, plan, develop, articulate, implement, provide quality assurance, training and assistance for all aspects of Service member and Family Readiness Programs; and supervise and administer program services to National Guard Service members and their families beginning from the Recruit Sustainment Program through the entire military lifecycle. Enables the provision of, or referral to, services for service and family members of deployed military personnel regardless of service or component (Army, Marines, Air Force, etc.). This position is located at the ANG Wing with/or without geographically separated units (GSU)/ARNG Region located in a State that is divided into multiple regions (within the State) not servicing one specific BDE. This position serves as the implementer of the Integrated Primary Prevention(IPP) Program. Due to the specialty nature of these roles this position reports to the Joint Force Headquarter Primary Prevention Officer. The primary purpose of this position is to implement and support integrated prevention programs. It collaboratively identifies, implements, and assesses public health-informed and evidence-based prevention policy, practices, programs and processes. Supports healthy climate/culture to eliminate harassment, sexual violence, family violence and self-directed harm using a public health perspective and socio-ecological theoretical lens. This involves an integrated, multi-agency, and collaborative approach with other Wings/Regions, Joint Force Headquarters (JFHQ), and local programs with a nexus to integrated primary prevention (IPP)efforts.

• Serves as the point of contact for harm and abuse prevention programs and activities; provides program coordination and serves as the subject matter expert for the Wing/Region IPP program. Serves as the Primary Prevention Integrator (PPI) managing all aspects of a complex integrated primary prevention program (P3) for the Wing/Region. Serves as the Wing/Region point of contact for the suicide prevention program, workplace and domestic violence programs in a non-clinical primary prevention, here after referred to as prevention, role in coordination with applicable offices and community agencies. Delivers initial prevention activities, averting harm or abuse before it occurs. Identifies risk and protective factors that lead to or protect against unhealthy or unsafe behaviors. A SURFACE MAINTENANCE MECHANIC LEADER, WL-5801-11, (1) Leader Duties: a. Assigns work orders to specific crewmembers and selects workers for various jobs on the basis of knowledge, skills, and abilities. Passes on to workers instructions received from the supervisor, demonstrates proper work methods, and starts work. Insures that needed plans, blueprints, material, and tools are available, and that needed stock is obtained from supply locations.
b. Assures that there is enough work to keep everyone in the work crew busy. Checks work in progress and when finished for compliance with supervisor's instructions, work orders, and established shop procedures on work sequence, procedures, methods and deadlines; and directs or advises other workers to follow supervisor's instructions and to meet deadlines. Answers workers' questions regarding procedures, policies, written instructions, and other directives. Interprets work instructions and assists lower graded repairers or trainees in the more difficult and complex tasks.
(2) Non-Supervisory Duties: a. Performs maintenance, troubleshooting, and major repair on heavy-duty mobile equipment, combat, tactical, and automotive vehicles. This may include self-propelled artillery, tracked cargo and personnel carriers, road graders, mobile cranes, front loaders, bulldozers, power shovels, tanks, tracked combat vehicles, all terrain vehicles, semi trailers, forklifts, tractors, and accessory equipment. Troubleshoots, repairs and/or overhauls, as a regular and recurring duty, a variety of the mechanically complex major systems to include internal combustion engines, turbine engines, automatic and non-automatic transmissions, heavy duty drive line systems, and hydraulic utility systems and controls, cross drive or similar multi-system transmissions and a variety of intricate fuel injection systems.
b. Troubleshoots equipment with a variety of the mechanically complex major systems and diagnoses difficult performance problems and the cause of mechanical failures by means of visual and auditory checks, uses test equipment such as engine analyzers, compression testers, voltmeters, ohmmeters, pressure gauges and computer diagnostic tools. Utilizes embedded diagnostics in equipment and a wide variety of specialized original equipment manufacturer system analyzers in order to determine the exact nature or extent of repair
c. Removes and disassembles engines and complex major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, and fuel, hydraulic, and oil pressure systems. Makes the appropriate repairs, overhaul, or modifications in accordance with the proper repair specifications and procedures, and improvises repair techniques when standard procedures are not available. Reassembles engines and other systems, and adjusts, tests, and reinstalls in vehicles and equipment as necessary. Makes adjustments and repairs to electrical and suspension systems.
d. Independently performs repairs and maintenance functions with little or no supervision in remote locations. Provides technical guidance and specialized team leadership to lower grade employees within the team. Assists lower grade mechanics in performing major repair work on interconnected complex systems such as electrical, air and hydraulic systems, complex state of the art electrical and electronic systems that use specialized diagnostic equipment to identify problems, complex fuel injection systems and other similar complex systems
e. Conducts readiness and repair inspections on vehicles and associated equipment supported by the activity. Performs operational inspections and ensures vehicles and equipment are properly serviced, including brake adjustments, replacing hydraulic fluids, greasing, cleaning, etc., and performs other preventive maintenance operations as required. Inspects supported equipment prior to use during Inactive Duty Training (IDT) and Annual Training (AT), to ensure that it is functioning properly May serve as a commodity inspector during Command Maintenance Management evaluations (COMET) or as a member of a Maintenance Assistance Instruction Team (MAIT).
f. Performs electrical repairs on complex state of the art electrical and electronic systems requiring extensive training on specialized diagnostic equipment to identify problems.
g. Assists in the maintenance of production reports and records, and makes recommendations to the supervisor.
