What will your role involve?

*Effectively and efficiently set / operate machines using the Planning Sheets, tooling, gauges and material provided

*Maintain a good volume of work through the machine using the guidelines of times given on the Planning Sheets or a time given as a result of a time request

*Maintain safe working practices at all times using all guards supplied with the machine and other safety equipment supplied by the Company. Operate within Company laid down procedures

*Work as a team member, co-operating with the other personnel in the Machine Shop and within the plant as a whole

*Maintain a good level of attendance and punctuality

*Maintain a good level of communication with Supervision and all other employees

*Undertake all reasonable requests by Supervision to assist production in the Machine Shop as and when required

You'll be working 8-hour rotating shifts, Monday - Friday, 06:00 - 14:00 / 14:00 - 22:00, as well as the night shift 22:00 - 06:00

Pall Aerospace in Redruth is looking for a multi-skilled Maintenance Person on a full-time, ongoing, temporary basis. Your responsibilities will include general maintenance of the building including undertaking small repairs, etc.

Good communication skills are essential as you will be liaising with various departments. You will be required to carry out works on your own with little or no supervision. Works will be carried out safely, with health and safety at the forefront when carrying out tasks.

Acorn by Synergie is looking for a highly experienced TIG and MIG Welder and Fabricator to join their clients team located in Stonehouse. Our engineering team produces exceptional quality projects and we are looking for an experienced fabricator and welder to help our production deliver to the highest standards every time.

Your primary responsibility as TIG and MIG Welder and Fabricator will be welding various materials, including stainless steel and aluminium. You will also be required to Fabricate various components based on engineering drawings, and other tasks related to production.

Experience in welding and fabrication with firming welding processes is essential for this role. You will also need experience within fine limit sheet metal work to help us reference and read engineering drawings and understand technical aspects of the job. Any experience in CNC programming would be an advantage but isn't essential.

This is a full-time role with a competitive salary depending on experience. You will receive in depth training in the preparation, assembly, installation and welding processes involved in this position.

Key position working in the Material team, advocating and executing strategies with purchasing responsibilities that will allow the business to meet on time delivery performance, reduce past due and optimise inventory.

You will have developed specialised skills or is multi-skilled developed through job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience; completes work with a limited degree of supervision; and is likely to act as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience. You will also be able to gather and analyse data to identify and solve problems that arise with little or no precedent.

Working with the Materials manager the position is responsible for the execution of;
* DMS Activities
o Kanban Deployment- Working with PFEP Roadmap and guided by Materials manager, you will become a SME on Kanban deploying the process throughout your site leading Kaizen and daily work. Having a good depth of knowledge in the processes and procedures acting as a technical expert in the procurement area.

You will ensure that Purchase orders are correctly maintained through their life cycle to ensure goods arrive as expected and vendors are paid in line with authorized terms.
o You will be working with Warehouse and Accounts payable teams to monitor and correct erroneous receipts & invoices.
o Providing Subject matter expertise to other Pall Industrial Sites
* Expedites / Confirmation - Utilizing IMAG and our SAP system to ensure that critical materials are delivered on time, date are clearly visible and up to date in the system for our planning team, escalating to Materials & Supplier Relationship managers when issues arise.
* Vendor Forecasting -
o working with the rest of the materials team to provide Sourcing teams and our vendors with accurate usage information for our materials to support Heijunka and supplier expectation acceptance.
* Purchase Order Creation and lifecycle management - Daily creation and maintenance of Purchase orders
o Kanban Call Off - Administering the Kanban board and ensuring that POs are sent correctly to our vendors
o Requisition Conversion - Changing System suggestions for MTO items into POs and ensuring they are kept up to date.
o Returns Orders / RMA - Launching required returns POs based on instruction from SQE team
o PO Exception message administration - Cancellations, quantity changes & Expedites

To be considered for the role you will need to be:
* Proficient utilising MS Office, Email and Excel
* Experience working with SAP
* Experience in a Continuous improvement environment
* Experience working in supply chain and/or logistics with various supplier and vendor contacts to ensure materials are delivered on time and in proper condition.
* Experience working in a manufacturing environment and communicating with production operations.
* Ability to remain organised, manage time and properly engage with suppliers and team members.
* Strong communication skills.
* Previous experience expediting materials.
* Functional knowledge of supply chain.
