The Opportunity
Adobe is seeking a hardworking, creative, and upbeat senior tech transactions/product attorney to support Adobe’s content focused products, including Adobe Stock. A key part of this role will be strategic counseling and negotiation of content focused in-licensing deals for the Digital Media business.
What you'll do
· Be a subject matter expert on content acquisition, moderation and use across Digital Media to support current and future product development, including generative and non-generative AI technologies
· Be one of the lead attorneys on content acquisition deals, partnering with research, product, and business development teams to draft and negotiate term sheets, licenses, and ancillary agreements for content that will be used in or to develop Digital Media products and services.
· Create and update templates, playbooks, training materials, policies, etc.
· Support the Digital Media teams in their content focused product implementations,
· Provide legal support with all aspects of Adobe’s AI/ML work, such as drafting, implementing, and managing policies, providing deal support, and supporting governance work
· Partner with many members of the Digital Media legal team to solve complex content issues
· Keep abreast of the rapidly changing industry and legal landscape related to issues associated with content acquisition, content focused regulations and AI regulations
· Build positive relationships and advise multiple levels of management on legal issues
· Develop efficient and scalable processes for content acquisition and moderation
What you need to succeed
· J.D. from an accredited law school and necessary bar membership
· A minimum of 8+ years of relevant legal experience, with at least 4 years of tech transactions experience at a law firm and 4 years of in-house experience preferred
· Strong experience with drafting and negotiating IP and content licenses, including expertise in working with a wide variety of content providers, especially in the areas of entertainment, music, and AI/ML training
· Prefer experience in the AI/ML space, including negotiation and deal support, managing policies, and supporting governance structures
· Deep understanding of intellectual property law, especially as it relates to content and AI/ML. Data Privacy knowledge and experience a plus
· Highly effective communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to succinctly frame complex legal issues and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
· A dedication to develop a deep understanding of the Digital Media business, especially Adobe Stock
· Flexibility to work with colleagues, clients and others in time zones other than where the position is based

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $136,500 -- $261,000 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
