The Sr. Specialist, Internal Communications & Channels will be a member of the Corporate Communication team. Responsibilities will include helping manage the company’s internal communications and channel strategy which will include a need for mastering the intranet’s CMS (Content Management System), helping drive content governance and compliance, and managing a global group of content intranet editors. The role will also include supporting corporate enterprise initiatives, including but not limited to corporate award program planning and administration, and event planning support. Associate engagement is a key priority for the company, which is underscored by having the right tools, channels and communications for reaching and engaging associates.

This role is hybrid (3 days on site in Franklin Lakes, NJ, and 2 days remote).

Primary responsibilities

• Day-to-day operation and management of the company intranet, including coordinating site managers and editors, providing training and CMS access, maintaining email distribution lists and Viva Engage community membership, initiating content audits, and monitoring for compliance to guidelines.

• Manage the homepage to maintain a proper balance of content and tools, and well thought-through global navigation.

• Monitor site analytics and lead projects for process and content improvements.

• Partner with colleagues in liaising with and managing intranet vendor, including new upgrades and deployments.

• Manage Help Desk/IT tickets assigned to intranet team.

• Manage common administrative tasks in the intranet software, and partner with IT as appropriate.

• Work closely with key stakeholders to understand their needs and involve them in planning and problem solving (including Communications, IT, HR, Risk and Legal, as well as executives and administrative staff)

• Support the broader Corporate Communications team on enterprise initiatives, including event coordination, corporate award program administration, and content planning, development and amplification across a variety of channels/mediums.

Minimum qualifications

• Background with Content Management Systems (CMS) required and Viva Engage preferred

• Basic understanding of HTML

• High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).

• Working knowledge of graphics tools (Photoshop) and collaboration platforms (SharePoint); graphic design and video editing experience a plus

In collaboration with NA Region leaders and the Corporate Communications team, the Senior Manager, NA Region Communications will ensure internal communications strategies are designed and executed to progress agreed business objectives with associates, and drive growth and integration activities across the region. This person will be responsible for enhancing internal communications tools and channels that effectively engage sales leaders and field-based associates throughout the country as well as the broader region associate base, while conducting ongoing measurement of content and channels to inform future approaches.   

Directly reporting to the Senior Director HR, and a dotted line to Corporate Communications,  the Senior Manager, Communications will lead multiple integrated communications projects and initiatives that will require collaboration across other areas of the business, often with competing priorities, tight timelines, and limited budget.

This person is a thinker and a doer who can create a strategy as well as execute, with strong writing skills across channels and a track record of performance in a matrixed environment that requires cross-functional coordination.

Primary Responsibilities

• As the lead NA Region communicator, manage all communications for the President of the North America Region including employee engagement communications through a variety of unique vehicles and approaches, customer communications and presentations, and social media content for personal and company channels, i.e. intranet, LinkedIn, etc.

• Create regional message tracks and content in support of relevant content pillars that align with and complement BD corporate and BU-specific messages and themes. Internally promote regional accomplishments and progress against key initiatives through a variety of creative communication channels that increase associate awareness of the NA Region, drive regional senior leader visibility, underscore the region’s role within BD and importance of BD to customer success, and highlight the evolution of the team to increase pride among associates and build BD’s culture in the region.

• Align NA Region communications plans and tactics with Corporate Communications to ensure alignment and consistency of messages with broader company goals and other corporate plans, while also providing NA Regional content for amplification in broader companywide and segment-specific communication. The Corporate Communications team is a key partner and stakeholder for this role as part of enterprise initiatives to drive understanding of progress against BD 2025 plans.

• Identify the correct channels and channel strategy for regional communications vis a vis existing cadence of corporate, business unit, customer/marketing and segment channels and messages. Ensure the appropriate application of corporate messages for resonance with the regional audience.

• Consistently track and measure effectiveness of regional communication efforts to inform future content and communication approaches.

• Ensure coordination with and build strong relationships across HR, communications, HR, IDE, marketing, businesses and functions.

• Lead the communications development for strategic presentations, coordinating with other commercial stakeholders, aligning to corporate branding guidelines and working with third parties

Minimum Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree required – preferably in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field. Advanced degree is a plus.

• 5+ years of relevant professional corporate communications experience with substantial experience working in internal/external communications for a publicly traded health care company, highly regulated industry, or major global brand. 

• Proven ability to create and execute an integrated regional specific internal and external communications strategy while working closely with corporate communications colleagues and a variety of disciplines in communications and across a matrixed company.

• Experience leading internal communications programs, employee engagement initiatives and leadership communications about key business updates, including message development, content management and strategic internal communications approaches.

• Ability to develop external digital content specific to the NA Region for executive channels, as well as overall company channels, and manage regional external campaigns and messages. Experience customizing content and creating clear direction for content pillars and channels.

• Exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills and presentation capabilities in a corporate environment and strong executive presence and the highest levels of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.

• Flexible outlook and mindset that is energized by working in a fast-paced dynamic environment with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, take initiative and act independently, and work under tight deadlines.

Job Description:

Performs routine set up, operation, minor routine maintenance, preventative maintenance (PM) and troubleshooting of moderately complex/automated manufacturing equipment. Controls and adjusts machine settings. Inspects in-process parts to ensure consistent quality and removes defective product, packaging, and component material. Assists with root-cause analysis activities for process or product exceptions. Checks work using prescribed gauges, jigs and fixtures to measure close tolerances. May monitor quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. Ensures accurate documentation of all relevant quality, safety, and maintenance documents. Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves basic issues associated with the machine performance and/or product quality.

• Works within standards and operating procedures to plan, perform, and make decisions regarding the set up and operations of a variety of production equipment, including automated machine processes and controls to perform routine assembly-line production functions of filling, packing, assembling, labeling and inspecting

• Uses independent judgment in troubleshooting and problem solving under general supervision

• May perform clean up functions in sterilized areas

• Identifies the need for minor equipment repairs

Join BD as a Jr. Sterilization Operator! Operate and maintain the sterilizer according to company policies and regulatory guidelines. Assist in the establishment of procedures and practices. Assist in product material handling, segregation and distribution.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS  

• Conducts routine safety and operational checks on the sterilizer and facility. Oversees the compliance of safety requirements by visitors and non- departmental personnel.          

• Practices safe and efficient operation of sterilizer and related equipment, robotic palletizer, stretch wrap equipment system, internal and external conveyors, loading and unloading equipment, and material handling equipment.

• Perform preventive maintenance on all department equipment for safe and efficient operations. Provides technical direction to Material Handlers for the performance of preventive maintenance and error recovery. Provides direct supervision of all contract maintenance.

• Diagnoses and corrects equipment malfunction, and proceed with the timely repair to ensure minimum downtime. Coordinates support for corrective maintenance with other departments (i.e. Plant Maintenance, Engineering). 

• Responsible for maintaining all pertinent processing records and files such as material transfers, disposition of logs, dosimetry and biological indicator loading data and dosimetry profiles, preventative maintenance schedules, purchase requisitions, etc.

• Practices established material handling and storage procedures in the pre-sterile area, and post sterile quarantine area. Performs product scheduling activities.

• Proficient in operation / maintenance of all types of radiation monitoring equipment, i.e., dosimeters, survey meters.

• Requisitions supplies / parts to maintain facility. Maintains inventory of critical items.

• Trains and oversees material handling staff.

• Assists in training of Cobalt-60 Sterilization Operators.

• Performs post-sterilization inspections as required. Insures QC verification of codification labeling is correctly performed.

• Maintain compliance with established government and company safety regulations, environmental, and emergency procedures and Quality System Requirements.

• Performs special projects in the Sterilization department or other department as required.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day portfolio activities and establish working plan for each vendor within the portfolio
• Analyze and monitor performance, invoicing, and approved vendor roadmap.
• Plan & facilitate business reviews and checkpoint meetings
• Analyze key performance indicators to produce reports on portfolio and projects being worked on by vendors within said portfolio
• Bring up issues that threaten portfolio and project success
• Communicate with vendor partners about their performance

Qualifications:

The Director, Product Security – Life Sciences serves as the leader responsible for BD’s product security posture within the Life Sciences Business Units – Integrated Diagnostic Solutions & BD Biosciences. Reporting to the VP, R&D, Product Security, this individual will help the PSO provide guidance to successfully deliver best-in-class secure products, consistent with global regulatory requirements over the lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with all levels and geographies within BD Life Sciences organization, including senior executives, to advance the product security strategy and objectives within the portfolio.

• Ensure adoption of product security framework activities, consistent with applicable global regulations and laws
• Champion strategic initiatives such as leveraging innovative product security processes & technologies or end of support for legacy platforms - in partnership with other cross functional teams
• Engaging BD leadership, customers, federal and international agencies when issues occur as well as speaking in public forums
• Serve as internal security consultant to the organization. Articulate high-level risks and mitigation plans to Senior Management
• Contribute to the strategy and provide guidance on product security matters including architectures, threat models, risk assessments, integration, disaster recovery and maturity assessment
• Oversee delivery of all required product security quality and regulatory documentation associated with product launches in Life Sciences.
• Provide leadership and guidance to BU Product Security Officers in the Life Sciences Segment on critical Product Security issues, tactical alignment, and strategic initiatives
• Provide expertise and management of BU implementation and remediation programs, new product development security solutions, process development, and capability maturity
• Responsible for aligning the Life Sciences Segment around common benchmarks and goals for BD’s enterprise - wide Product Security posture, assessing progress towards these goals while driving improvement
• Accountable for developing BU Product Security Officers leadership skills and influencing BU cross- functional leadership teams to communicate and prepare their organizations for changes in worldwide regulations and standards for Product Security in Medical Devices
• Leadership and development of BU Product Security Officer’s skills in program management, cross functional collaboration, technical and business acumen with their BU leadership teams

Qualifications:

• Minimum of ten (10) years professional business experience, three (3) years leading teams and people, and three (3) years in a Product Security and/or Application Development Security function in a regulated environment
• Experience with connected products, software development lifecycle, security automation, risk mitigation strategies, incident response, and supply chain security are preferred
• Strong understanding of a wide variety of cybersecurity attacks, threats, threat analysis, ethical hacking and system auditing coupled with experience with incident management
• Experience navigating and executing product cybersecurity requirements with 510(k) and PMA- regulated products
• Able to align and connect business strategies with technology solutions that will mitigate risk. Excellent presentation and communication skills including engaging with and presenting to senior leadership team. Strong collaboration skills to include conflict resolution
• Ability to communicate complex technical challenges in a non-technical and simplified manner to business audience

Job Summary:

The Inventory Control Supervisor works with the DC inventory teams and key distribution leadership daily to implement and enforce inventory control systems and processes.  

Job Responsibilities: (Primary Duties, Roles, and/or Authorities)

• Effectively utilizes and ensures compliance with BD’s inventory control and warehouse management systems.

• Turns strategy into executable, operational actions and achieves desired KPI results. 

• Serves as the subject matter expert (SME) of inventory control.

• Develop and implement inventory analysis tools and metrics that will optimize service, cost, and inventory levels.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversees Medical Affairs strategy from preclinical, toxicology to clinical, and human factors, as well as post marketing follow up. The Platform Lead develops a team of core team members for products under development & product life cycle as well as managers.

Qualifications:

Job Responsibilities:

As directed by the Clinical Manager, the Field Implementation Technician role will be focused on, but not exclusively limited to, the activities outlined below:

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manages their responsibilities within the allotted T&E expense budget

• Provides updates monthly to the Clinical Manager on national training activities and support provided across the country (Implementations, Customer Meetings, etc.) per activities delineated in the Individual Impact Goals

• Lead and drive product implementations, including training on new product release kickoffs, answering practitioner and patient questions and will work closely with Clinical Specialists and Territory Managers to facilitate resolution of inquiries. 

• Continuously highlight the essential benefits of the technology to direct users and to hospital personnel.

• Evaluate and communicate customer insights and unmet needs across the continuum of care to ensure innovative product development and product enhancements. 

• Facilitates customer training classes in support of new implementations and conversions for key customers.

• Collaborates with the Regional Teams to clinically support customer engagements from pre-sale through post-conversion.

• Develops strong, working relationships with end-   users while providing product in-servicing and clinical education.

• Provides routine follow-up support to customers at end-user locations as needed.

• Works with CM to ensure scheduling and activities produce the greatest return on investment

• Assists with the creation of clinical education materials, protocols, tools, and clinical training programs for end-users and sales/marketing/clinical staff to ensure successful implementations of new technologies in the field

• Contributes to the improvement of the project management fuction through the creation of additional procedures and processes to enhance the overall effectiveness of the company.

• Demonstrates practical application of successful adult learning practices and methodologies, as well as assessment tools, practices, and techniques

• Advanced knowledge of vascular access, IV therapy, infusion therapy, and laboratory or phlebotomy.

People/Process:

• Aids sales personnel by building strong, working relationships with end users during product in-servicing and clinical education programs.

• Works in concert with the Regional Teams to ensure the sales and product implementation process is clinically effective

• Establishes excellent rapport with Clinical Specialists, Territory Managers, and Associate -Territory Managers across all selling bags, RBM and CM. Works collaboratively with the region in which they are working.

• Collaborates with the Sales Team in key account management strategy sessions

• Provides clinical support,  training and education for team members as needed

• Shares standard processes with the Business, Territory Managers, ATMs, Regional Business Managers, Strategic Customer Group,  Area VPs and their counterparts as they continue to enhance MDS programs and processes

• Provides training activities that help increase the clinical competence for new hires as well as tenured employees.

• Communicates with Clinical Specialist to support the management of the On-call Specialist (OCS) schedule to include coordination of team meetings for consistency of message and briefing of issues

• Works nationally wherever prioritized product implementations are needed.

• Will coordinate among several internal and external teams including project teams, multi-disciplinary hospital teams, and vendors.

• Assists internal team members and customers with all aspects of implementation planning, coordination of resources, scheduling, communication, and formal training.

Job Qualifications & Competencies:

• National Certification (Nationally Registered Paramedic) or State License equivalent, Associate degree in paramedic science preferred, or equivalent experience per hiring manager discretion. 

• Maintains paramedic licensure (nationally and/or state) with good standing

• MInimum of 3-5 years general clinical experience, three must be in the field related to vascular access devices (including peripheral IV catheters), connectors, and lab draws

• Ability to work with extensive travel requirements including weekends, evenings, nights, and travel up to 100%

• Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued driver's license with 3 years of consecutive driving history and meet BD's auto safety standards.

About the role:

As a key and experienced member of the Firmware Engineering Team, you will be responsible for the development of embedded software for medical devices and instrumentation. You will be providing technical leadership and having a significant impact on BD’s products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely and cross-functionally with the project team to develop, implement, and document robust and reliable firmware solutions to meet product requirements, development timelines and written specifications.

• Collaborate with the Systems, Software, Firmware, and Hardware development teams during the Firmware requirements creation process to create firmware requirements that are unambiguous, complete, realizable, and verifiable and are properly linked to system level requirements.

• Provides technical leadership and mentoring across the organization.

• Be a subject matter expert and resource regarding FW solutions, toolchains, methodologies, architectures, etc.

• Perform development work independently with minimal supervision required.

• Ensure quality of work product by following good coding standards and best practices.

• Generate documentation to support regulatory filings and internal reports and specifications.

• Supports the work in formal Verification and Validation activities.

• Provide R&D input on CAPA reports and post product release support to BD Manufacturing worldwide.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, or Math or equivalent experience.  Advanced degree preferred.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in developing firmware/software for embedded systems. 

• Significant experience with C++ and C for embedded systems. 

• Experience in various peripheral buses and network protocols, UART, SPI, I2C, I2S, USB, HTTPs and TCP/IP. Low-level knowledge of communication protocols and device drivers is a plus.

• Development experience with Embedded Linux for SoC. Experience with Windows IOT is a plus.

• Experience programming microcontrollers (ARM, ColdFile, TI, x86, STM, etc.)

• Excellent bring-up, debugging, and problem-solving skills. Bare hardware boot processes and firmware. Hands on experience troubleshooting firmware/hardware interfaces using test equipment such as logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and debuggers.

• Familiarity and experience with Issue/Task/Bug tracking systems such as Azure DevOps or Jira.

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in cross-functional and cross-geographical multi-disciplinary teams.

• Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills

• Must be able to manage time effectively and efficiently and able to context-switch as necessary to deal with new issues.

• Able to bring clarity to ambiguous situations.

Desirable:

• Experience with working in a regulated industry strongly preferred.

• Familiarity with C# and experience with Python is a plus.

• Experience with RTOS and multi-threaded development like VxWorks or Micrum uC/OS-II.

• Custom Windows Driver Development with PCIe experience, kernel mode driver development and knowledge using user mode driver development.

• Experience with memory management, interrupt controller and bootloader strongly desired.

• Device driver development of Timer, ADC, RTC, DMA module highly preferred.
