Incumbent has responsibility for overall administrative and technical direction of the assigned workforce consisting of Airway Transportation Systems Specialists (ATSS) and support staff involved in providing National Air Space (NAS) services to En Route/Terminal air traffic control to the commercial airlines, and general aviation aircraft for a defined area. Medical Supply Technician (Sterile Processing) for Veterans Health Administration (VHA). The incumbent will be responsible for promoting a culture of safety and will fully cooperate in efforts to improve patient safety and eradicate potential events including the reporting of events resulting in actual or potential injury to a patient. Incumbent must demonstrate knowledge of the reporting procedures involving safety issues relating to patients.

The primary duties of the Medical Supply Technician (Sterile Processing) may include but are not limited to:

• Providing sterilization, preparation, supply items and reusable medical equipment decontamination and distribution support for the medical center. Including instrumentation (scissors, forceps, retractors, etc.), reusable medical equipment (suction machines infusion pumps, etc.)
• Receiving contaminated critical and semi-critical RME in decontamination area and may receive noncritical equipment in the decontamination area as well.
• Disassembling the RME and determining the correct cleaning method, such as but not limited to ultrasonic cleaners, mechanical washers, cart washers and chemical cleaning/decontamination agents as determined by manufactures instructions.
• Inspecting, preparing, assembling, and determining the correct method and packaging for sterilization such as but not limited to steam, Sterrad, Steris, V-Pro Stand high-level disinfecting reprocessor, may processors.
• Removing soil, blood, tissue fragments, body fluids and other contaminants by wiping, soaking, rinsing, and scrubbing.
• Inspecting packages for indications of proper sterilization, assembles basic sets and trays used throughout the medical center including those used in the operating room.
• Performing segments of work pertaining to the decontamination, sterilization, and inspection of reusable medical equipment (RME).
• Completing segments of work pertaining to the assembly of basic sets and trays for use in the medical center.

Loads and unloads supplies and materials from trucks, trailers, dollies, etc. Moves furniture, removes, and sets signs, paints picnic tables and signs, rakes and waters lawns, trims trees and shrubbery, picks up litter, cleans and repairs fire pits.

Digs ditches and trenches with pick and shovel where soil is hard and compact and must grade or slope; occasionally breaks up pavement, soil, or concrete; mixes and pours concrete, asphalt, and hot/cold mix; fills and levels holes in damaged roads. Moves heavily loaded wheelbarrows and hand trucks; uses heavy type power mowers including adjusting blades, cleaning, and oiling. Motor Vehicle Operation: Operates and performs minor operator maintenance on light duty motor vehicles such as pickup trucks, panel trucks, flatbed trucks, carryalls, sedans, crew cab pickup trucks, which typically have an approximate gross vehicle weight of up to 4500 kilograms (10,000 pounds). • Maintains current knowledge of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) which document the processes and procedures for cleaning, disinfection, sterilization and preparation of RME.

Using a variety of methods involving test equipment, visual checks and instruments, diagnoses and identifies problem areas and determines the extent of repairs required. Removes components and assemblies, repairs or replaces defective parts and components and reassembles repaired items into the aircraft. Installs, aligns, and makes needed adjustments to major components and assemblies such as engines, propeller/rotors, transmissions, hydraulic systems, etc., assisting Specialists as required. Accomplishes adjustments to related systems which may be affected by repairs. Conducts ground functional tests of all aircraft systems. Services aircraft with oil, de-icing fluid, fuel, and hydraulic fluid. Launches and recovers assigned and transient aircraft; performs inspections prior ot takeoff. Inspects for conditions such as oil, fuel, and hydraulic leak, cut lines, tires and loose panels.

DUTIES (WG-11)

(1) Performs Crew Chief duties with full maintenance responsibility forassigned aircraft. Number of aircraft to be assigned to an incumbent is predeterminedby taking into account such factors as the complexity, size, and maintenance requirementsof aircraft, the unit mission requirement to have Flight Mechanic orFlight Engineer on board during missions, etc. Diagnoses problems with all aircraftsystem and components, perform required repairs and accomplishes requiredpreventive maintenance. Serves as a point of contact for assigned aircraft, receivingwritten and verbal discrepancies from pilots and diagnosing problems. Documentsdeficiencies, malfunctions, and the repairs required to return aircraft toserviceable condition. Contacts Allied Shops personnel to perform specialist workin such areas as sheet metal, avionics, propeller-rotor, engine, etc., and overseesthe work performed. Analyzes and advises on transportation considerations relative to the domestic and international movement of equipment, supplies, and personnel via all commercial transportation modes. 3. Assists in inspections, or provides for inspection of, commercial carrier terminals to locate and expedite delivery of astray government shipments. Ensures carrier capability complies with government requirements and specifications. Assists in the management of the Carrier Performance Program for the state and provides input to the Traffic Manager for the overall program.

4. Procures domestic and international travel for both military and civilian passengers. Reviews the travel arrangements provided by the Travel Services Contractor ensuring that special fares and/or discounts are utilized when feasible. Ensures advance procurement of transportation services to achieve greatest overall cost efficiency and oversees the audit of the Travel Services Contractor for application of appropriate discounts for official travel. Monitors the approved Travel Agent for official travel for quality assurance as an Assistant Contract Officer Representative (ACOR). Advises travelers on entitlements and responsibilities and manages the processing of refunds for unused commercial tickets into the government accounting system. Ensures all travel requests are accompanied by approved travel orders and reconciles billing of requested travel services. Reconciles and validates the monthly billing for commercial air travel Centrally Billed Account (CBA) and submits it for payment.

5. Maintains all transportation related automated systems and databases to support the Traffic Management Programs for the State.

6. Accomplishes the full spectrum of support for state and Federal National Guard operations, training, readiness missions, natural disasters, and Homeland Defense/Defense Support of Civil Authorities (HLD/DSCA).

7. Performs other related duties as assigned.

This position is responsible for operating a shag truck to move semi-trailers while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. This position could work in any department of the PBX division.  It requires using a shag truck to move semi-trailers and backing them into designated loading docks and parking areas.  It requires frequent climbing into and out of the shag truck therefore must be able to climb in/out of truck using 3 points of contact several times a day and climb ladders as needed at varying height.

Responsible for achieving Tyson Foods Customer Service goals including ones related to Supply Chain, Sales Support, and customer collaboration; responsible for people development, including performance reviews and development plans for individuals within their teams.

REQUIREMENTS:

• EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of relevant experience in addition to 7 years minimum experience (preferable subject areas include Logistics, Operations Management or related field)
• EXPERIENCE: Minimum 7 years of experience in customer service, customer collaboration, sales, logistics, manufacturing, continuous improvement or closely related function required. Consumer packaged industry and Supply Chain experience preferred.
• COMPUTER SKILLS: SAP; Proficient with MS Office applications required
• COMMUNICATION SKILLS:  Strong written, oral and interpersonal skills; Conflict Management skills; Ability to multi-task; Positive attitude; Problem Solving skills; Negotiation skills; Managerial presence, communication, interpersonal and leadership skills, with a strong potential to be promoted to higher levels of responsibility.
• SPECIAL SKILLS: Leadership – exhibit visible leadership and positive influence with internal partnerships; Partnering – collaborate (with internal and external customers) to  achieve the best solutions ; Technical – exhibit visible ability to utilize different systems to identify opportunities and develop solutions; Efficiency – continuously seek to improve on existing methods or tools; Development – career development for self and Team Members/direct reports; Internal Tyson Foods Supply Chain Experience Preferred; Understanding of System Flows and Sales policies related to Order to Cash
• SUPERVISORY:  6-10 Direct Reports; 10-21 Customer Service & Logistics Specialist/Senior Customer Service & Logistics Specialist in total
• TRAVEL: The position requires domestic travel for customer meetings, sales meetings, and regional customer service team visits.  Normal travel is approximately 10-12 times per year
