Sterile Storage and Distribution:

1. Serves as a senior expert in inventories, replenishes shortages from sterile supply, inspects for sterility integrity for instrument sets and expendable items.
2. Adheres to and reports any non-compliance towards facility regulations regarding application and removal of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
3. Follows up to ensure RME rotates at the appropriate intervals, communicates needs for restocking outdated supplies, and maintains stock levels of surgical supplies and equipment for wards, clinics, and the operating room.
4. Initiates assigned tasks on requests for items based on the daily schedule of needs or individual requisitions.
5. Rounds with supervision to ensure areas have performed daily housekeeping duties to ensure environment of care is maintained.
6. Coordinates needs for stocking individual surgical case carts with required instruments for each scheduled and emergency operative procedure.
7. Ensures staff operates automation equipment according to facility procedure to prepare, store, retrieve or process information.
8. Trains new and/or lower graded employees at the request of supervisor and/or educator.

1. Coordinates the assignments given by the supervisor to receive a full range of reusable medical supplies, instruments and equipment from hospital wards, clinics and operating rooms.
2. Adheres to and reports any non-compliance facility regulations regarding application and removal of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
3. Ensures staff decontaminates reusable items by determining the appropriate method for removing gross contamination by means of manual cleaning procedures.
4. Reviews adherence of staff in relation to disassembly, decontamination, and infection control practices of items in accordance with facility protocol.
5. Ensures staff operate automated reprocessing equipment such as the ultrasonic cleaner and washer/disinfectors in accordance with the device Instructions for Use (IFU).

1. Ensures that staff follow all device specific Instructions for Use (IFU) and set forth Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) while conducting assembly and sterilization procedures.
2. Conducts rounds to review staff adheres to facility regulations regarding application and removal of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
3. Validates skill level of staff to ensure the efficient assembly of a wide variety of instrument trays and sets used for medical procedures including the operating room.
4. Ensures quality checks for damaged or missing items of all instrument sets and arranges for replacements, maintenance, or repair as needed.
5. Coordinates the workflow for assembly to include prioritization from a variety of sterilization phases for intricate surgical trays and microsurgery instruments for the operating room (trays contain large numbers of unique, non-interchangeable, specialized surgical instruments of similar appearance, with minor variations in size, conformation, and nomenclature, but with major variation in application).

1. Works with SPS Leadership or Educator to precept new or lower grade employees to all aspects of work performed in SPS.
2. Participates in obtaining documentation required for competency and or education of SPS staff.
3. Oversees work and will assist management with the distribution and prioritization of workload among employees in accordance with established workflow and/ or job specializations
4. Assists with the assignment of tasks as necessary to provide new employees with the experience and training required to obtain a full performance and advanced performance level.
5. Provides information to management officials concerning performance issues, assignment changes and task completion.

Duties are, but not limited too:

The employee is required to effectively communicate accurate information to numerous professional personnel such as Nurses, Technicians and medical staff, insuring that RME is available and ready for use always.
• Receives, inspects and stores supplies received in SPS insuring that the correct item and quantity are accepted. He/She will notify the Chief of SPS/designee of any discrepancies.
• Inventories, replenishes shortages from sterile supply, maintains par levels, inspects for sterility integrity of instrument sets and expendable items. Rotates inventory, restocks outdated supplies, and maintains stock levels of surgical supplies and equipment for wards, clinics, and the operating room on a first in, first out basis (FIFO). Maintain the cleanliness of storage of RME by the cleaning of bins and shelves as set by policy.
• Initiates requests for items from wards, clinics, and the operating room based on the daily schedule of needs or individual requisitions
• Performs quality assurance inspections on sterilized RME prior to issue, such as dryness, expiration date, control number, package integrity and labels.

• Performs daily housekeeping duties of workstations daily to ensure environment of care is maintained
• Utilizes an Instrument management system to assemble and provide a full range of instrument trays and sets for the OR, wards, clinics and special procedures which may encompass numerous different trays and sets, simple to complex sets. He/She inventories and coordinates the replacement of missing instruments on sets and trays, according to the sets instrument listing sheet (Count Sheet).
• Will inspect, identify and sort the instruments/sets according to the size, weight and functional usage. The technician will reassemble and inspect instruments/sets for damage, cleanliness, completeness and usability of materials, according to the manufacturer instructions as set forth in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Selects the appropriate method of sterilization, according to the design constraints of the item and the compatibility of the item with the sterilization agent, manufacturer instructions as set forth in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), utilizing proper loading techniques in accordance with sterilization method.

• Adheres to facility regulations regarding application and removal of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Collects and/or receives; cleans and decontaminates a full range of reusable supplies and RME used on nursing units, clinics, OR and Special Procedures units. SPS MST sorts RME and materials by the method of processing, inspects RME for any damage prior to processing, disassembles for cleaning RME with multiple parts, according to the manufacturer instructions as set forth in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• SPS MST operates, maintains and adjusts processing equipment such as but not limited to; ultrasonic cleaning machines, washer/ disinfectors, automatic endoscope reprocessors (AERs)and leak testers. This involves but not limited to changing and resetting timers and adjusting steam pressure requirements on sterilization and decontamination cycles, changing filters4) Follows the SPS Infection Control guidelines as they pertain to inspecting, collecting and transporting of infectious materials, are monitored during daily soiled supply and equipment collection activities, including isolation bagging procedures for reprocessing materials.

Their are 2 roles available based out of either Perry Barr or Wolverhampton. This role is ongoing.

PAY RATE: £16 Per hour

You will be required to work 1 in 4 Saturdays as part of this role.
PPE needs to be provided by yourself (Overalls, Mask, safety boots)

Job responsibilities:
* Carry out polishing of newly painted panels, ensuring all dirt inclusions are removed and the overall finish matches the original factory finish.
* Removing scratches and correcting minor paint defects.
* Supporting other areas of the workshop where needed.
* Assisting with the training of junior members of the team.

Experience Required:
* Previous experience in a similar role in a Bodyshop. Minimum 1 year.
* Full UK Driving Licence held for a minimum of 2 years.
* Willing to support junior cosmetic technicians and offer support/expertise when needed.
* You will be passionate to work within the motor industry and take pride in your work, to the highest standards of work set by customers.
* You will need to work independently and as part of a team on vehicles and have experience to make your own decisions when required.
