Serves as a Staff Support Specialist (MSS-1) at a Terminal facility. Responsible for tactical, strategic, and administrative support of multiple program areas such as training, quality control, quality assurance, traffic management, airspace and procedures, plans and programs, operational automation, military operations, special and security operations, safety management system, safety reporting and other areas of specialty identified collaboratively at the local level. The purpose of this position is to function as the primary assistant to or to function as the senior logistics full time member of the organization. Under the direction of the Officer in Charge (OIC), Logistics Officer, or Commander, this position oversees and ensures the accomplishment of work performed in the area of logistics.

Duties and Responsibility:

1. Incumbent is responsible to provide technical guidance to subordinate units, the headquarters logistics section, or other staff sections concerning logistics and maintenance management. May provide supervision and guidance to full time personnel in the logistics section of the organizational headquarters. Schedules and provides proficiency training for logistical personnel within the command. Plans and provides guidance for the implementation of current and future equipment authorization documents. Performs oversight and random reviews of subordinate unit expendable/durable requisitions.

2. Assists in the development of command logistics policies. Consolidates and inputs unit level logistics feeder information into the organizational readiness report.
