Coach Tour Driver working hours:

As a Coach Tour Driver, you will work an average of 219 working days and a maximum 232 worked days with the average shift length of a tour driver being less than 8 hours. We would consider applicants not only living on the Isle of Wight so location could be in and around this area.

You will be paid an Annual Salary of £30,500 with 29 days of paid holiday.

Being a Coach Tour Driver:

As a Coach tour Driver, you will be allocated your own coach once you have completed your initial training and your week will start by operating a feeder route into one of our six interchanges situated throughout the country. You will then board customers for onward travel to resort and will be responsible for the excursions through the week. The importance of the coach driver is ultimately down to the success of the tour and as this is important so we aim to keep the same driver on the tour with those customers until return to the interchange. You will then be allocated a return feeder route.

Previous experience of operating Coach Tours would be an advantage, but if it is something you are interested in, have the correct licence entitlement and are keen to learn then please do get in touch.
Customer service comes naturally as you will be representing the Alfa Travel brand throughout the holiday.
You will be a safe and efficient driver, comfortable with the use of technology and a maximum of 3 point on your licence.

• You’ll work as part of a team to make sure all those in custody are safe, looked after and arrive in the court dock on time

Back Shift working hours

If you join working a backshift, you will be on a 35-hour contract and operate on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern with one additional shift per month to make up your hours. Shift times are 13.00 – 22.00. You will also be eligible for mileage and travel time from your allocated base.

This role will see you predominantly working with a young lady in her early 20’s who will be moving into her first home after living with her parents. Your role as a Support Practitioner will involve providing transitional support to help the young lady learn and develop essential life skills, including looking after her own home, ultimately increasing her confidence and independence. There may be times you will be working with one of our other supported individuals, but all flats are within walking distance to each other.

As a Support Practitioner, your primary responsibility will be to assist the young lady with all aspects of daily living. This includes meal preparation, medication management, attending appointments and activities, managing personal finances and providing prompts with personal care. With your guidance and support, the young lady will be able to adjust to living independently. You will take an active interest in her hobbies which include jigsaw puzzles, watching movies and support her in exploring new opportunities in her local community.

To be an amazing Support Practitioner, we’ll need you to:

Shift Patterns

Our dedicated team provide 24/7 support including weekends and public holidays. This role will include day shifts lasting 12-13 hours, commencing at either 8am or 9am based on the day's scheduled activities, as well as Waking Night shifts from 8pm to 9am.

The Department of Design, Manufacturing and Engineering Management (DMEM) is an internationally leading department, Delivering Total Engineering for responsible and sustainable futures. We seek to appoint two positions as Lecturer, Senior Lecturer or Reader in Supply Chain Engineering Management. These posts are part of a wider talent and thought leader recruitment strategy. You must have research experience and interests consistent with the strategic direction of the Department, Faculty and University and you will have experience of research leadership, including support of senior researchers in a University or industrial environment and management of research teams/projects/programmes. You will have extensive experience of delivering high quality teaching to undergraduate and postgraduate students including experience of developing and managing large teaching programmes and you will have experience of PhD/EngD research project supervision in Higher Education.

You will have an outstanding/sustained track record of published research in high quality publications demonstrating standards of excellence, with an international reputation. You will have an outstanding/substantial track record of securing research funding through relevant successful collaborative research grant applications and you will have an established national/international reputation as an expert and leader within Supply Chain Engineering Management. You will be an excellent educator and mentor and will show leadership in identifying key research questions and attracting funding support. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong people skills and an ability to operate as part of a team.
