What you'll do

As a Supply Chain Strategic Sourcing Manager, you’ll be developing and implementing joined-up, global supply chain strategies and solutions that incorporate the full procurement contract life cycle across multiple spend categories, geographies, and business areas.

You’ll also be shaping and executing the development and management of our supply base in line with our strategy, including owning and developing key strategic suppliers on behalf of the bank, identifying potential new suppliers through market knowledge and competitive tenders, identifying areas for efficiencies and savings, and managing and improving supplier performance.

In addition to this, you’ll be:

• Planning and prioritising all available resource to ensure efficient delivery and management of the supply base in line with our objectives
• Undertaking contract and financial signing authority in line with published delegated levels of authority and regional variations
• Developing and leading strong networks across the supply market and other external organisations, including competitors, and developing deep insights and analysis
• Implementing the stakeholder management strategy and delivering an excellent supply chain service to those stakeholders
• Developing and building a deep understanding of the franchises, functions and business areas relevant to the successful supply chain strategy, and designing and delivering solutions that meet and challenge their requirements

The skills you'll need

To succeed in this role, you’ll need strong commodity and supply chain market knowledge, across a variety of supply chain categories with a demonstrable track record of success in implementation and managing an end-to-end procurement process. Experience in the financial sector, banking or payments would be advantageous. You’ll be educated to a degree level or equivalent, be an extremely effective communicator and you’ll have experience of leading strategic and business critical supplier relationships and contracts to deliver sustainable improvements.

You’ll also demonstrate:

• Knowledge of contract law and legal knowledge relevant to supply chain and the procurement life cycle
• Experience of applying supply chain skills and techniques such as cost modelling and gap analysis to positively disrupt business strategy and outcomes
• A proven track record in taking ownership, managing a procurement market test or tender, leading contract negotiations and resolving issues within a supply chain services environment
• Experience of implementing a variety of supply chain commercial models and strategies, such as offshore, outsourcing, and make versus buy in a competitive or regulatory environment
• Experience in cost, financial management and Agile ways of working and using tools to analyse and interpret, and present spend and cost management data
• Experience of drafting commercial terms and knowledge of base contract terms and conditions

Main purpose of the role

Within this role, you will be working as a part of an experienced bodyshop team, ensuring our vehicles are finished to the highest standard for our customers, under the support and guidance of the supervisor and Bodyshop Manager.

Your key responsibilities will be:


Preparing vehicles for paint – This will include masking, priming, sanding, and cleaning panels.
Ensuring that there are no defects on the prepared panels.
Carry out polishing of newly painted panels, ensuring all dirt inclusions are removed and the overall finish matches the original factory finish.
Removing scratches and correcting minor paint defects.
Ability to complete all substantial filler work
Supporting other areas of the workshop where needed.
Assisting with the training of junior members of the team.


To be successful, you’ll bring some of the following experience with you:


Previous experience in a similar role in a Bodyshop. Minimum 1 year.
Full UK Driving Licence held for a minimum of 2 years.
Willing to support junior cosmetic technicians and offer support/expertise when needed.
You will be passionate to work within the motor industry and take pride in your work, to the highest standards of work set by customers.
You will need to work independently and as part of a team on vehicles and have experience to make your own decisions when required.
