Role Overview:
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading the supply chain activities for Gen3 Core project launch. The role is responsible for, including but not limited to: change management, suppliers RFQ follow up (supported by other team members), BOM cost reduction roadmap planning and execution, PPAP delivery follow up and coordination. The role is expected to prepare all levels of report out on project status from working level of part number tracking to executive management review.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and follow-up on elements supporting Gen3 Core, such as CN implementation tracking, RFQ completeness, PPAP coordination support with cross functional teams SC/SQE/Eng/Supplier. Enhance/facilitate/coordinate/track Develop Gen3 Core cost reduction roadmap, in collaboration with engineering and ensure the execution with cross functional team.
- Creation/monitoring/reporting of multiple dashboards to monitor the health and speed of our processes.
- Support to develop and implement category strategies that achieve the Year / Year savings cost savings initiatives.
- Develop should cost activities to support/facilitate the team with cost analysis.
- Collaborate with regional or global supply chain on NAA category strategy for synergies, especially for upfront quoting.
- As applicable by business unit, update (JDE) MRP part and supplier data requirements.
- As applicable by business unit, manage applicable requisitions.
- Support new product introductions, operations improvements (Lean), engineering changes and work transitions.
- Facilitate/participate in cross functional team meetings.
- Responsible for RFI/RFQ/analysis/business case/ROI, as applicable.
- As applicable by business unit, this position will be responsible for updating all applications including but not limited to ETQ, Teams Logs, Gen3 Core, cost reduction benchmarking, on regular basis.
- Take on additional special tasks provided from manager.
Requirements:
- 5-10 years in a supply chain management function, procurement, or cost management.
- Knowledge of, or experience with, lean manufacturing systems/processes, ERP/JDE configurations, Concept Configurations, and drawing database (Windchill)
- Strategic planning/thinking skills coupled with analytical and execution skills.
- Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive teamwork between groups and across functional teams.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate all levels of management required.
- Demonstrated project management, change management, and negotiating capabilities is a plus.
- Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Business Administrations/Supply Chain Management, Finance, or Engineering. Master’s Degree is a plus.
- Knowledge of elevator industry and/or field operations is highly desirable.
