Provides strategic business support:

• Understands internal customer needs. Implements global and local procurement strategies in all regions by building a network across all the training centers and flight training operations.

• Provides strategic direction, leadership and support related to category management & strategic sourcing to achieve corporate & divisional business objectives.

• Applies Category Management best practices and principles. If necessary, depending on category, organizes and leads global category councils.

Develops and manages supplier relationships:

• Conducts Supplier Relationship Management framework with key suppliers.

• Expertly uses a complete set of legal, commercial and business principles to develop and enforce partnership agreements with strategic suppliers, in close relation with Legal and other relevant departments.

• Locates appropriate vendors in emerging countries and develops sustainable partnerships in compliance with CSR policies and other standards.

• Leads market intelligence to identify relevant external innovations and seek competitive advantages by partnering with world-class suppliers.

The ideal candidate has:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Management, Engineering, Operations or other applicable discipline required.

• Proficient in English required. Other languages considered an asset.

• Required proficiency in Microsoft Suite products, including but not limited to, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. BI considered an asset

• Knowledge of the aviation market considered an asset

• Required minimum 5 years of relevant experience including sourcing, category and vendor management, purchasing and/or material management. Technical/manufacturing experience and/or or equivalent experience considered an asset.

• Identification of and participation in process development and improvement initiatives focused on adoption of agile, pragmatic and fast-track principles.

The Strategic Sourcing Manager is also expected to be an effective change agent, working with senior leadership within the Global Procurement & Supply Management organization, and the business to drive sustainable changes to how the organization sources business services. In this role, the individual will regularly interact with key business leaders to balance cost, risk and speed to ensure that the business is able to meet its objectives. Territory coverage: Interior BC and Vancouver Island

Under the direction of the Regional Sales Leader, the Regional Sales Manager role is responsible for providing leadership, delivery of sales support and initiatives to an assigned region of the retail distribution channel regarding Retail Investments products. The Regional Sales Manager is the ground-level sales support for Retail Investments in the Retail Channel and is accountable for ongoing sales effectiveness of Retail Investment products in the assigned region.

Sales & Channel Support:

• Create and manage relationships with the assigned region of the retail Distribution Channel to ensure optimum representation of Retail Investments Products
• Provide ongoing sales support to the assigned region of the retail Distribution Channel
• Work with Retail Investments, Product Delivery Groups to establish requirements for sales tools, training and process development, to execute against the sales delivery strategy and customer positioning of the Retail Investments LOB
• Identify and provide product specific training when appropriate to sales force
• Provide sales support for Retail Investments National Sales Campaigns and Programs

The role we are offering you:

As part of the Special Projects, Process and Compliance team, your role will drive global improvement initiatives, leading exciting projects in digitization, global alignment, data and analytics driving the delivery of a best-in-class global procurement and supply management organization. 

The person will need to show strong collaboration and engage with CAE sites globally to help drive improvements and operational efficiencies, always keeping the user experience at the center of all we do.

In your role, you will:

• Coordinate and deliver interactive workshops to identify project requirements, delivery timelines and costs

• Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility, budget clarity and resource requirements

• Develop detailed project plans, a strong stakeholder management approach, and communication strategies to ensure the appropriate involvement and engagement

• Define, assign and monitor project tasks based on the skill sets, experience and strengths of team members, and coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects

• Monitoring project performance to ensure timely delivery, including critical path definition, go / no-go criteria, escalation paths and resolution methods

• Effectively communicate project progress through executive summaries, steerco reviews and executive management engagements

• Work effectively with relevant stakeholders for efficient project implementation

• Exhibit excellent leadership, customer relations and communication skills to liaise effectively with all project stakeholders

• Always keeping the user experience at the heart of all we do, deliver solutions that improve our ability to deliver and drive a high-performing, high-tech organization

Our ideal candidate has

• Bachelor’s degree in procurement or relevant work experience, PMP certification is an asset

• Very good understanding of source-to-pay process and business interactions

• Excellent presentation and communication skills

• Strong sense of autonomy, ability to set priorities, analytical and problem-solving skills

• Focus on customer and delivery, keeping the user experience at the heart of all we do

• Approach situations with a strategic and global mindset, delivering standardization and continuous improvement through a practical methodology

• Knowledge of Ariba S2P (Sourcing, Contracts, Buying and Invoicing) and related modules

• Knowledge of Oracle procurement is an asse:

• Bachelor's degree in computer, software, electrical, mechanical, automated production or physics engineering.
• Software engineering experience, working on multi-discipline teams is a plus
• Solid software development skills, including the ability to write maintainable and robust code.
• Knowledge of C++ programming language is essential.
• Knowledge of another object-oriented programming language, an asset. 
• Autonomy, creativity and a good sense of initiative.
• Passion for understanding complex problems and driving innovative technical solutions.
• Team-working skills.
• Bilingual (French and English) required.
• Some schedule flexibility.
