IMMEDIATE START - A fantastic opportunity for a HGV Class 2 (LGV Cat C) Driver to start with our client in Babraham. Long term ongoing work that may lead to a permanent position following a successful trial period. Working Monday to Friday with 06.00 starts. Pay is £17.00 p/h PAYE and £20.83 p/h Umbrella.

The role will involve driving a Class 2 Tipper vehicle moving aggregates and waste soil to and from sites across Cambridgeshire. Full training can be provided on tippers for those needing a refresher or new to the tipper vehicles.

GR Employment Limited are looking for Courier Drivers to start work for one of our world customers at their depo based at Basildon SS14 3AY as the face of our Company a Courier is responsible for the daily delivery and collection of shipments to and from our customers, enhancing the customer experience at every stage. The Courier role is key to ensuring that the company principles and ethos are demonstrated at all times, ensuring that the service provided to customers is delivered with speed, passion and a can-do attitude. The working hours are Monday to Friday 08.30 to 18.30 overtime will be paid at time and a half after 45 hours. This is a temporary position.

As a courier driver, you will be measured upon customer satisfaction and completed time-definite deliveries and collections. As a frontline representative for the company, you will be required to complete all tasks in a customer-focused manner. You will be required to demonstrate excellent planning and organization skills to prioritise work to meet customer’s requirements. You will work on an assigned geographical route, however, may be asked to change your route from time to time to meet business needs.

Accurately record working and driving hours to comply with road transport regulations.

Complete daily safety checks, safe loading / securing a load of the vehicle, maintenance, legislative / regulations and adherence to company driving standards

Scanning and working quickly and efficiently to ensure warehouse deadlines are met, excellent planning and organizational skills and the ability to make good decisions and work under pressure

Adherence to all relevant operational policies
Comply with all applicable security procedures and bring any potential security breaches or concerns to the attention of their supervisors
ensure ID passes are worn at all times
Hold a shared responsibility for own development and willingness to attend training courses that will be required from time to time

Job Qualifications:

Full UK driving license

Experience in a multi-drop courier role advantageous (preferred)
Experience in a frontline, customer-facing role (preferred)
Professional driving experience is required due to insurance reasons

Security Training will be given when required

Our client, a national drinks wholesaler, who are specialists in drinks distribution throughout the country supplying 1,000s of alcoholic products to pubs, clubs, hotels, etc. are currently recruiting for a Cat B Van Driver to start work out of their depot in Launceston, PL15.

Your main duties will be to drive a LWB Sprinter van to deliver beers, wine, spirits and associated products on a set route to licensed premises throughout the South West. We are looking for someone who will be flexible to cover the warehouse and drivers mates roles when required to do so.

This is temporary work to start on Monday 22nd July 2024 with a training day and is scheduled to run to at least September time, with potential for it to run on beyond that.

We are looking for a driver who can demonstrate a minimum of 12 months commercial driving experience.

Hours of work:
Monday to Friday, 06:00am starts daily (finished by 16:00 latest)

£12.00 per hour (PAYE)
