• The role will involve you driving a Wheeled Loading Shovel, so you must have prior experience of operating this type of plant.
• Although we do not require any specific qualifications a valid external license is desirable. Where investment for an in-house operator's license is required, this will reflect in the rate of pay.
• The successful candidate will be required to carry out manual picking duties (waste segregation) as and when required.
• Monday to Friday: 12hrs per day, between 8am-8pm or 7am-7pm . Working 5 shifts a week including alternative Saturdays every second week. Option for additional hours where work demands.
• Starting pay from £13.00 p/hour - flat rate

Job Responsibilities:

PO Upload:

• Monitor PO uploads and ensure that any failed POs are identified and flagged to the client and uploaded again once the failure has been corrected
• Working towards set KPI's in accordance to specific audits

Vendor Bookings:

• Assist clients to ensure that all vendors book their shipments no later than by LFDD-9
• Check weekly for any un-booked Po's that are 1 month past the Latest Ex Factory Date and liaise with merchandisers to discuss the next steps from this point

Approvals

• Daily checks in the afternoon for any approvals that are still on the report after 48 hours
• Anything more than 1 week old and without explanatory comments should be escalated to the key client contact and notify senior management

Status reports and general data quality

• Chase origins for missing Cargo Received dates if ETD is in the past
• Compare ETA with ETD and email the origins if anything looks wrong
• Generally try to find fault and chase origins to correct. Escalate to management if problems remain ongoing

KPI reports

• Assist in the production of monthly KPI reports and attend KPI review meeting

SCS Account Management

• General responsibility to provide excellent support and encouragement to SCS clients

Operational

• Use of Internal Freight Management System, VBO, Microsoft Packages (Word/Excel/Outlook) & Telephone
• Supporting the Branch Managers to introduce measures to improve operational efficiency.
• Prioritising of workload in accordance with deadlines & SOP

Customer Service

• Query Resolution - to resolve any operational queries from both customers & suppliers in a timely & efficient manner
• Reviewing customers specific SOP's on an ongoing basis to ensure they are fit for purpose and for compliance

• Reviewing internal operational procedures on an ongoing basis to ensure compliance

The Candidate:

• At least 1 year freight forwarding experience.
• Degree level qualified
• Strong problem solving/customer service skills
• Effective communication skills - both written and verbal
• Excellent organisation and time management skills
• A desire to pursue a career within supply chain / logistics

The Recruitment Co are recruiting for 3.5 tonne Multi-Drop Drivers for a food production company based in Irlam M44.

Description of the role:

6am starts each day - routes are planned for 8 hours.
The vehicle is loaded for the driver but there may be dispatch delays driven through factory delays, but management will always support and load the vehicle.
All deliveries are done with a hand held device which is provided.

Typical route:

Anything from 15-25 deliveries to all types of locations, including businesses, schools, pubs, restaurants, hotels, and hospitals
Deliveries are made to the kitchens and not receptions. It is the Chef's responsibility to check the order off at the point of delivery, so waiting at delivery points may occur.
Deliveries vary from 1 box containing 1kg to a couple of hundred kilo orders.
Trolley's are provided to support with delivering.
The company delivers nationwide so deliveries / routes can have some mileage. However, the further the distance, the less deliveries you will have.
Local drops will be approximately 25 deliveries, further afield would be approximately 10-15 deliveries.

Basic Rate - £11.50 per hour
Overtime after 48 hours - £15.30 per hour
