The post is based within the R&D Office assisting in the provision of an efficient and responsive service required to support the Research and Development Department. Main Duties and Responsibilities

Communication responsibilities
• Monitor departmental inboxes, and social media channels responding to enquiries and escalating when appropriate.

• Undertake the administration process for scheduling and uploading content for social media, working with the Trust’s Communications Team where required.
• Manage administration key communication channels, for example, website, Facebook, Instagram, X and other social media channels in line with the Trust’s processes

Planning and Organisational
• Participate in Trust wide educational programmes and study days, regional and national meetings as appropriate

You will have line management responsibility of clinical trials staff in your team which will include delegation, supervision, provision of education, appraisals. You will be involved in developing Trust Sponsored research projects including applying for and securing competitive grant applications. You may at times also have a small caseload of studies. A new and exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Trust as an Administrative Assistant within the Research Department.

You should have a good standard of education including GCSEs at Grade C or above - including English and Mathematics or equivalent, with practical admin and clerical application and experience which can be demonstrated at interview.
