Ability to manage common medical retina pathology with experience in retinal laser treatment and intravitreal injection is required.

Thepost-holderwillbeexpectedto:

· Collectgeneticandclinicaldata(includinghistory,examinationfindings,anyinvestigations)and collate in custom-designed databases.

· Workcollaborativelywithothermembersoftheresearchteamandclinicalcolleagues.

· Recruitandco-ordinatepatientsfor studies and clinical trials

· Organise,maintainandanalyseprojectdata

· Responsibilityforclinicaldatamanagementandliaisonwiththeleadinvestigator

· Participateinweeklylaboratorymeetings

· Activeparticipationinotherongoingresearchprojects

· Achievegoals,agreedindiscussionswiththeirlinemanager

· Presenttheresultsoftheprojectinnationalandinternationalmeetings

· Preparetheresultsof theprojectforpublication

· Performanyotherdutieswithinthescope,spiritandpurposeofthepost,thetitleofthepost and its grading as requested by their line manager

· Undertakepatientandpublicinvolvementexercisestopromotethediseaseandtheresearch
