ABOUT THE ROLE

City of London Academies Trust (COLAT) is seeking to appoint a Science Teacher and Deputy Head of Year for January 2025. You will be an experienced teacher looking for a new challenge or a newly qualified teacher. You must be able to teach Science (all disciplines) up to KS4. It would be highly advantageous if you can teach Science up to KS5.

For the Deputy Head of Year position you will work alongside the current Head of Year. You will assist and support the Head of Year who is a pastoral or teaching member of staff. You will have great interpersonal skills as you will be an initial contact for students to provide general support or who raise concerns. You will also communicate with parents/carers regarding organisational, behavioural or attendance concerns. You should have excellent IT skills, be well organised and a team player.

You will have the ability to build effective relationships with students and deal with challenges whilst maintaining positivity and professionalism. You will have knowledge of current policies and procedures relating to child protection and safeguarding. You must also be willing to undertake further training.


ABOUT YOU

You will be an experienced and outstanding teacher or a new teacher starting your teaching career. You must have experience teaching Science up to KS4. You will have great behaviour management strategies and you will also have excellent organisation and communication skills to liaise with students, staff, parents and external organisations. About the role
We are now recruiting for a Duty Manager to join the team on a full time (35 hours), 8 month fixed term contract.

As Duty Manager, you will play a key role in upholding our standards and ensuring a fantastic experience for our visitors. Working closely with colleagues across all operational departments, you will ensure a smooth and efficient operations including the enjoyment, security, experience, well-being and Health and Safety of the Museum visitors, colleagues and contractors.

You will act as a floor-based manager delivering routine museum operations, as well as overseeing and coordinating responses to operational problems that arise during public opening hours. You will be able to operate independently when required as the senior manager on-site, ensuring that all KPIs and service standards are met.

This contract is due to start at the beginning of February 2025.
Salary: £26,436 per annum

The Development Prospect Research team is responsible for leading the prospect research and due diligence function for the Department as well as the preparation of due diligence considerations for Tate’s Ethics Committee. The team also leads on prospect management strategy, monitoring the allocation of prospect pools for individual fundraisers and tracking activities.
