Overview of the role
As a Life Insurance Consultant you will take a strong role in supporting business development and work as part of a team on a wide variety of complex projects such as financial modelling, mergers and acquisitions for life insurance firms.

Job Description:

• New Product pricing
  - Work closely with Product team to provide actuarial support in product development process. This includes:
  o Provide advice on product design, develop and maintain pricing model, ensure accuracy and robustness in technical pricing

• Provide technical support to internal as well as external parties such as regulators and auditors.
• Handle special ad-hoc Actuarial projects as and when required.

Job Requirements

• Degree holder in Actuarial Science and with good progress in Actuarial exams.
• At least 8 years of working experience in actuarial field.
• Prior experience in Valuation, Embedded Value reporting, business planning and/or Corporate Actuarial is preferred.
• Good knowledge about Singapore Valuation and RBC 2 rules is preferred.
• Good knowledge of Prophet and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite is preferred.
• Proficient at Actuarial reserving and embedded value concepts.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• To price participating, non-participating and investment-linked products and ensure the profitability of the products is align with Company’s business strategy
• To support the implementation of overall product and pricing strategy of life insurance products.
• To develop pricing methodologies in line with actuarial principles and regulatory requirements and design and develop pricing models that meet the internal and regulatory requirements.
• To ensure compliance with internal product and pricing policies, processes, profit margins and external regulatory guidelines to obtain approval/filing for product launches.
• To collaborate with internal functions to integrate new individual life product features into their day-to-day operational activities, including initiating process improvements.
• To discuss with reinsurers and develop suitable reinsurance structures for products requiring reinsurance.
• To lead any actuarial pricing related projects and company-wide initiatives.

Requirements

• Good progress in examination from an internationally recognized actuarial professional body.
• At least 3- 5 years of working experience in Actuarial field.
• Detail-oriented, efficient, self-motivated and able to work under pressure.
• Good interpersonal, writing and verbal communication skills.
• Good technical and analytical skill.
