As a Senior Principal DevOps Engineer to join our Software Development and Medical Digital Solutions Tools and Processes group. The ideal candidate will have experience in software development, web development, development process automation, DevOps, software tool integration, project leadership and product ownership. In this role, a typical day will include.

• Provide technical leadership to international team of DevOps engineers and developers.
• Create automation that supports the productivity of the SDMDS team.
• Develop and maintain process automation tools.
• Act as a Scrum Master and/or Product Owner for the team.
• Partner with stakeholders from SDMDS and ITCI to define tools and process strategy.
• Lead implementation of tools and process strategy with custom integration solutions as needed.
• Identify and implement process improvements, at times partnering with consultants.
• Develop interface simulators and design automated module deployments.
• Document processes and monitor performance metrics.
• Conform to best practices in network administration and cybersecurity.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school+15 yrs;Assoc.+11 yrs; M.S.+4 yrs; PhD+3 yrs)
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
• 7 Years of Relevant Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in DevOps and software development with proven track record of successfully delivering software in an Agile/Scrum environment throughout the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Knowledge of software architecture and web development.
• Strong knowledge of process automation and CI/CD processes.
• Experience with multiple programming and scripting languages and environments.

As the Sr Clinical Project Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing, designing, planning, conducting, and reporting on clinical studies, supporting life cycle management activities, post-market studies and training Medical Affairs teams located remotely in the United States!

Key Responsibilities:

• Crafting and providing oversight of clinical research programs to deliver study outcomes within schedule, budget, quality/compliance and performance standards, and ensuring the studies meet scientific objectives, and are aligned with commercial needs.

• Serves as single point of contact in core teams in R&D, leads Clinical Sub-Teams, and acts as the medical/scientific consultant to marketing or research project teams and government regulatory agencies.

• Contributes to operational excellence through process improvement and knowledge sharing.

• Provides clinical functional review and expertise on the assigned projects/tasks, updates on clinical study progress and performance metrics.

• Forms relationships with key opinion leaders and applies their input to improve study design, protocols, and identified initiatives as appropriate.

• Leads the planning, conduct, and reporting of clinical studies throughout the product development and life cycle management including development of scientific publications and peer reviewed manuscripts.

• May be responsible for site or vendor selection as appropriate, post-marketing studies, and training for customer facing Medical Affairs associates worldwide.
