Requirements:

• Diploma in Science or its equivalent
• At least 1 year of experience supporting school operations.
• Preferred experience as a lab assistant in science laboratory school environment.
• Experience in creating digital resources such as presentations and videos according to Science Experiential Learning Experiences using powerpoint.

Scope of works:

• Preparation of resources / materials for Science laboratory activities and enrichment programme.
• Label and keep records of teachers’ desk copies, reference books, lab apparatus and chemicals
• Pack and organise the resources in the Science Rooms.
• Ensure lab equipment, materials and specimens are in good working conditions.
• Conduct stock-take at least twice a year and Maintain a stock book.
• Ensure safety of pupils in the Science rooms. Report any incident to Science HOD.

Working hrs: Mon to Fri (1000AM to 0400PM)

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of experience supporting school operations.
• Preferred experience as a cleaner in science laboratory settings.

Scope of works:

• Sweep and mop laboratory floors.
• Empty trash bins and broken glassware containers.
• Clean benches, sinks, and refill hand soap, disinfectants, and paper towels.
• Wash glassware (beakers, cylinders, bottles, etc.) under a technician's guidance.
• Replicate experimental setups after demonstration.
• Weigh chemicals, prepare solutions, and set up equipment.
• Distribute and replenish materials during practical lessons.

Working hrs: Mon, Wed, & Fri (0800AM to 0130PM)

Requirements:

• Experience working in science labs at primary schools.
• Proficient in speaking, writing, and understanding English.
• Preferred: Ability to use phone message apps and emails.

Scope of works:

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized lab environment.
• Ensure all apparatus and equipment are safe, clean, and in good condition.
• Report faulty equipment and display “Out of Order” signs.
• Safely dispose of broken glass and other materials.
• Secure Bunsen burners, data loggers, and microscopes under lock and key.
• Inspect and maintain Bunsen burners.
• Maintain stock and breakage records for replacements.
• Check and replenish first-aid supplies.
• Assist science teachers in lesson preparation and cleanup.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the Science HOD.

• Open and lock doors and windows of laboratories for safety and security.

• Ensure general cleanliness of school premises.
• Assist in preparing apparatus, equipment, and chemical reagents for science practical lessons.

• Create manipulatives for teaching science.
• Help conduct science activities during recess, as needed.
• Care for school animals (birds, frogs, stick insects) and their enclosures.
