You will be responsible for monitoring and implement the company’s quality assurance procedures, undertaking scheduled checks and inspections to maintain our BRCGS accreditation.
The successful candidate will need to be detail oriented, have a high attention to detail and reliable. You will also need to be flexible within your role, organised, enjoy working as part of a team and independently. They currently run a single weekday shift.

Role Duties (but are not limited to):

• Good understanding and knowledge of BRCGS standards
• To oversee /liaise with external auditors, enforcement and regulatory authorities, customers, third party contractors and suppliers as necessary
• Developing and maintaining the quality management system and procedures and to ensure that all checks and inspections are completed to schedule. Liaising and co-operating with management and colleagues in the implementation and compliance of food quality, safety and legality procedures in line with BRCGS requirements
• Ensuring the maintenance of testing equipment and facilities and maintenance of calibration schedule
• Monitoring and ensuring compliance with the HACCP plan, detailed in the Quality Manual.
• Ensuring that site hygiene practices and procedures are maintained as per the Quality Manual and procedures
• To undertake weekly sampling against defined schedules for environmental swab programme and product testing
• Raising and documenting non-conformances as they arise at any stage of the process and to take appropriate corrective action as necessary, consulting with Management
• To investigate customer complaints and quality failures, collating data and compiling reports as necessary
• To take a proactive approach towards product and process quality and to work towards improving standards throughout
• To organise and present training sessions as required, and identifying training needs as appropriate.
• To maintain up to-date information records on horizon scanning risks and threats associated with the business and products, to communicate where relevant to Senior Management when a potential risk to the business is identified
• To maintain supplier approval records and oversee new supplier approvals
• To drive the company culture strategy and encourage participation in the company culture activities

• Any other task/project as required, commensurate with role and experience, or as requested by Senior Management

Daily supervise routine and specialised diagnostic investigations on potentially infectious patient and environmental samples using manual and automated techniques. Frequently handles potentially highly infectious and known highly infectious material in order to perform subjective interpretation of diagnostic investigations and be responsible for the validity of results. JOB DESCRIPTION Post Title: Face Fit Tester Pay Band: 3 Hours: 37.5hrs per week Contract: Permanent Location / Department: Countywide Infection Control Team Responsible to: Fit Test Coordinator Accountable to: Infection Control Lead Key Working Relationships: Internal: Wards/Departments PFI Partners Infection Prevention & Control Team Procurement Department Technical Services Facilities Team External: Suppliers Risk Assessment: This post involves frequent contact with equipment. Manual handling of inanimate, often bulky equipment, daily use of VDU screen, use of cleaning fluids and there will be an expectation to work at different Worcester Acute Hospitals NHS Trust sites to cover service need. Job Purpose: Fit testing is a method for checking that a specific model and size of FFP3 mask (tight-fitting mask) matches the wearers facial features and seals adequately to the wearers face. It will also help to identify unsuitable masks which should not be used. The performance of tight-fitting masks depends on achieving a good contact between the wearers skin and the face seal of the mask. Peoples faces vary significantly in shape and size so it is unlikely that one particular model or size of Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE) mask will fit everyone. Inadequate fit will significantly reduce the protection provided to the wearer. Any reduction in protection may lead to immediate or long term ill health or can even put the RPE wearers life in danger. The post holder will work as part of the Infection under the supervision of the Face fit co-ordinator. They will work closely with the Infection Prevention & Control and Team (IPC) as well as the Procurement and Supply Chain team and the Development and Education Team. They will ensure that staff are individually face fitted to masks providing respiratory protection against harmful pathogens. The post holder will be responsible for fit testing to ensure masks that are either re-useable or disposable fit the face of an individual. Full training will be given for both the qualitative and quantitative fit testing methods. The post holder will also play a key role in educating staff on the best practice of donning and doffing FFP3 PPE. The post holder will work independently on a day-to-day basis. All sites will need to be covered with one other Fit Tester during the course of a week and it could be that visiting various locations at those hospitals is required depending on need. The post holder will be responsible for arranging and collecting a PortaCount machine from IPC and setting up the allocated room in preparation for testing. Where required, the post holder will need to refer to IPC for alternatives for respiratory protection where fit testing is unsuccessful and update records accordingly. If there is a lack of face fit testing bookings, then the staff member may be asked to assist within other departments of the Infection Prevention & Control team or Mattress store. Mattress store duties include cleaning the mattresses using PPE and chemicals, collection and delivery of mattresses. Other duties may include education of trust staff regarding hand hygiene competencies and audit of environment and practices. Key Duties: To ensure Personal Protective Equipment is worn and used according to Trust policy. Conduct face fit tests on staff that are required to wear FFP3 masks, specifically: Being clear on the face fit testing process and being able to describe this to staff. To ensure that the mask that is being fitted is a good fit before conducting the test by assisting in fitting the mask ensuring a good seal. Directing the member of staff through the face fit exercises. Recording the result of any face fit test. Explaining to the member of staff which mask they have passed on and when they should book another fit test, if required. Where no fit is achieved advising staff on alternatives and how to access them. To actively support the Fit Test Coordinator in implementing and evaluating the Face Fit Test strategy and action plan. Monitor and maintain stock levels of face masks and consumables Clean and maintain equipment according to manufacturers guidance. Communication Establish and maintain relationships with the Fit Test Coordinator and all members of staff and colleagues affiliated with Face Fit Testing. Communicate effectively with others, recognising that there may be a requirement to utilise alternative methods of communication to overcome barriers to understanding. Participate in discussions and team meetings, as required, in relation to the face fit testing process and PPE. Highlight failure of particular masks to the IPC Support Officer. Planning and Organisational Skills Plan and organise with the support of the IPC support officers workload in line with face fit testing appointment system. The Deputy DIPC, working within the wider Corporate Team, will have significant Trust wide responsibility and will be accountable for the strategic, operational and budgetary management of the Infection Prevention (Corporate) Team. The post holder is the lead nursing/midwifery advisor on infection prevention across the Trust. The post holder will undertake a full portfolio of director responsibilities as agreed and delegated by the Executive Director (Chief Nursing Officer/ DIPC) and will be responsible and accountable for providing comprehensive and strong professional leadership, guidance advice, support and direction in relation to infection, prevention and control to the Nursing and Allied Health Professionals. The post holder will have significant Trust wide responsibility with respect to developing, leading and directing the Trusts programme to reduce healthcare-associated infections as established in national trajectories and locally as established in the Quality Improvement Strategy (QIS). The strong leadership, support and the development of the Infection Prevention Control Team in association with the Lead Infection Prevention Control Microbiologist/Infection Control clinicians is a central core function of this role as the DDIPC. The post holder will lead (on behalf of the DIPC/ CNO) effective health economy working and the joint interface with primary care and the public health agenda, driving improvement for joint improvement trajectories and monitoring the commissioning targets for Trust reports. The DDIPC will support and drive nursing research opportunities and oversee the delivery of a robust IPC education programme for all Trust staff both clinical and non-clinical. We are seeking to recruit an experienced Compliance Caretaker, within our Midlands Estate Services Team, which is a key section of the Property Services division. The work will consist of completing compliance tests within the schemes in the Midlands region, which will ensure the safety of our residents and will include caretaking and cleaning in Birmingham and Worcestershire. A full training plan will be provided for the successful candidate, along with a van and all the tools you will need to complete the compliance testing and put things right if necessary.

The role of Compliance Caretaker will include:

Head of Infection Prevention will be responsible for: Lead Commissioning arrangements for the prevention, investigation and surveillance of infection for Herefordshire and Worcestershire Commissioning Organisations. Platform Property Care has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Control Auditor to join our Award-winning Heating team based in Worcestershire & Gloucestershire supporting a Service Manager and a team of Service & Repair Gas Engineers in this area. This brand-new role has arisen due to our continued growth and expansion in the team.
What will you be doing?
In this key role you will be auditing Landlord Gas Safety records issued by the engineering workforce, including undertaking detailed inspections, and specialist investigations and preparing reports.
You will then advise and develop recommendations to address issues identified, complete corrections, and provide coaching for our engineers. You will also develop and deliver training and line manage our team of apprentices.
You will have a real impact on our service delivery being successful. Being someone who will naturally thrive on taking responsibility you will own issues resolving these to ensure that our team continue to meet our KPIs.
Some things we need from you:
The following qualifications/ technical knowledge are essential
• A gas related NVQ L3
• Current ACS accreditation in CENWAT, CCN1, CPA1, CKR1, DAH1, HTR1
• Comprehensive knowledge of the Gas Safety (Installation & Use) Regulations 1998 maintenance, servicing, and installation of Gas Installations
• It would be advantageous if you held an Assessors qualification or equivalent, Fumes investigation reporting (CMDDA1), and or a Health & Safety Management qualification
• Proven experience as a Service & Repair Engineer with a good understanding of the work and standards required
• Experience in Domestic Gas auditing
• Experience providing guidance, coaching, and training
• Demonstrable experience in working with internal/ external customers and delivering services that meet key performance indicators
• IT literate with experience of utilising technology to drive service performance
• Strong numeracy and communication skills
• Good report writing skills
• Strong personal organisation skills
• Ability to make a reasoned decision, with understanding of impact
• Strong interpersonal skills – you will build strong working relationships
The role is mobile, and therefore requires a full UK Driving Licence, and covers Worcestershire & Gloucestershire so you will need to be based in this area. At times you will be required to attend meetings and training at our other offices and locations including Worcester, Birmingham, Matlock, and Skegness.

• Minute taking at meetings including Works, Events, Co-ordination and HAUC meetings.
• Distribution of street works and event information to internal and external staff and organisations.
• Supporting team members by organising meetings for the Streetworks / Events & Open Highways Teams.
• Reviewing and responding to customer queries through the corporate PEM (Public Enquiry Manager) system
• Managing the Streetworks Admin email inbox for incoming works and event information
• Issuing Invoices/ Receiving payments.
• Resolving minor invoice issues.
• Managing street works information on the One Network website
• Receiving and reviewing event proposals on behalf of event promoters
• Ensuring all databases and records within the Streetworks / Events & Open Highways Teams are up to date.
• Ensuring all deadlines regarding street works KPIs and other monitoring tools are up to date.

This is a Full time role on a temporary contract basis.
