We're looking for an Assurance Manager to join our Strategy, Performance and Governance team. This is a UK remote first role, with an option to work from our Manchester office for those who want to. You'll have to attend quarterly meetings in Manchester (find out more about our hybrid working policy at colleagues.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy).

In this role, you'll play a key part in managing our investment priorities to make sure we can deliver against our Co-op Group Strategy. What you'll do

• Be responsible for managing the health of the Digital Technology and Data portfolio providing visibility and transparency

• Engage with the Demand Planning Manager on initiatives transitioning from discovery to delivery

You will mange and coordinate highways incidents and defects on the Transport for London (TfL) road network. You will have excellent attention to detail and a strong customer focus. Ideally, you will have worked within the highways/construction industry, although this is not essential. To be successful in this role you will need to have good IT skills, an organised nature and experience within planning.

As a Gas Inspector, you'll be responsible for inspecting, reporting and feeding back on the gas safety standards delivered by registered businesses in Manchester / Stockport and the surrounding areas. You will be allocated a portfolio of registered businesses and provided a structure to ensure inspections and reports are completed in line with service level agreements and timescales.

What you’ll be doing:

• Carry out and complete inspections in line with our risk model and contractual obligations with our client the HSE.
• Complete inspections against the Gas Industry Statutory and Normative documents and internal operating procedures.
• Liaise with registered businesses to ensure any defects identified are understood and completed to standard and within timescale.
• Ensure inspection reports are completed within a Service Level Agreement and to the standard required.
• Ensure the appropriate course of action is taken when unsafe or illegal gas work is identified.
• Liaise with and effectively communicate with registered businesses and gas consumers

What we’re looking for:

• Must hold as a minimum the following ACS certificates of competence:  CCN1, CENWAT1, CKR1, HTR1. Ideally the applicant will have additional ACS certificates in LPG, Non-Domestic & Catering, LAU1 and DAH1.
• Experienced of having worked on a variety of gas appliances and/or quality controlling of gas work.
• Understanding of Health & Safety, Building Regulations, other related codes and normative documents, including ability to risk assess environments.
• Relevant Auditor qualification (D32/A1) or equivalent would be a desirable addition.
• Regularly maintain technical knowledge and industry awareness through CPD.
• Appreciation of issues affecting gas, plumbing, electrical and H&V installation businesses.
• Ability to use tools and undertake any appropriate tests and checks during inspection.

We are seeking a Compliance Business Partner from an Insurance Broker / Insurer background.  This role will partner with the Marsh business to deliver effective oversight and advice, regarding compliance policies, procedures, systems, controls and governance.

What you need to have: 

• Experience in Compliance within the Insurance industry either with an Insurer or Broker

• Proven track record in building strong and constructive relationships with business leaders

• Broad and deep knowledge of the FCA Handbook – Principles, Rules and Guidelines

• Commercial awareness and focus on the proportionate application of regulation within the insurance industry

• Strong and confident communicator (verbal and written)

• Strong organisational and time management skills
