The Role
As a Senior Quality Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will provide discipline advice, guidance and support to the business on all matters related to the quality, ensuring outputs meet customer and regulatory requirements in a timely manner.
Day-to-day, you'll be a customer quality focal point in the implementation of our ambitious growth plans as part of the Quality team and you will use your proven experience to promote quality throughout the project lifecycle and supply chain.
- Identify, plan and implement a program of activities, via a contract Quality Plan, to provide assurance to the project throughout the project lifecycle defined by the contract.
- Work with the cross-functional delivery team personnel, helping to achieve delivery milestones and ensuring a fit for purpose / quality product to the customer.
- Risk manage project activities, ensuring mitigation in the critical aspects of production and in the final product.
- Evaluate customer requirements against our product quality capabilities, and help translate into a suitable design / contract, and appropriate inspection and test plan.
- Carry out quality audits during the project lifecycle, ensuring process procedures followed and the product is being realised in the appropriate manner.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the onsite and 3 days working from home.
Essential Experience of the Senior Quality Engineer
- Have a quality background in a related industry and be familiar with the qualities levels and disciplines required.
- Experience of implementing quality improvements and encouraging culture change within an organisation.
- Computer literate with good keyboard skills and understanding of Microsoft Office applications
- Will have an excellent working knowledge of quality tools and problem-solving techniques, and be able to provide guidance to others in the use of them (e.g. Pareto, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, 5 why's, 8D).
Qualifications for the Senior Quality Engineer
- Degree (or equivalent) in quality, Science, or Engineering
- Work based apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
- Membership of a recognised quality institute (CQI would be desirable).
- ISO 9001 auditor.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
