The National Security Agency (NSA) currently has opportunities for highly motivated Industrial Control System (ICS) Specialists/Engineers to provide expertise in the design, construction, commissioning, and operation of new and renovated electrical and mechanical infrastructure. This position has two areas of focus, one within Design and Engineering (D&E) and the other with Operations and Maintenance (O&M).

As an ICS Specialist/Engineer within D&E, you will work closely with multidisciplinary teams encompassing project managers, stakeholders, and contractors throughout the entirety of the project life-cycle, including close coordination with O&M. You will also be responsible for the development and review of designs, specifications, technical reports, and cost estimates for power monitoring and control of electrical and mechanical infrastructure, energy management monitoring, and ICS cybersecurity.

As an ICS Specialist/Engineer within O&M, you will work closely with ICS Specialists who support many facets of the Industrial Control Systems in the Facilities Control Center (FCC), which is a 24/7 operations center where facilities systems can be effectively monitored and maintained. The ICS team supports power monitoring and control, energy management monitoring and control, the transport network and various Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) hardware, components, software, and applications to ensure a robust secure operation of the overall system.

You will serve as a/an Material Inspector in the SFLC warehouse and be responsible for ensuring the quantity and condition of material matches inventory records and/or due-in requirements.

Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include:

• Performing a structured receiving inspection on all commercially procured items which are not subject to Government Point of Origin inspection;.
• Performing a structured inspection on materials in the warehouse to assure their continued quality;.
• Using precision measuring instruments, micrometers, vernier calipers, various gauges and a variety of other precision measuring instruments to assure product quality, and.
• Preparing inspection documents associated with the quality control inspection function.

• YOU WILL/MAY:
• Ensure that regulated establishments produce a safe product by executing appropriate inspection methods, determining non-compliance with regulatory requirements, documenting noncompliance and initiating enforcement actions, where warranted.
• Verify that meat and poultry slaughter and/or processing establishment's Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) Plans meet regulatory requirements.
• Execute Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) Plans effectively to prevent unsanitary conditions and adulteration of product.
• Review records, observe plant operations and conduct hands-on verification to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and prepare detailed documentation (Non-Compliance Records) of non-compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Determine when regulatory control action is necessary. You will assess whether the plant's corrective or preventative actions are acceptable and effective, if there are trends in noncompliance, or if an enforcement action is warranted.
• Conduct regulatory oversight activities inside plants in matters relating to other consumer protections (e.g., economic adulteration and misbranding).
• Have contact with plant managers, owners and others to explain legal and regulatory requirements, discuss operation of the plant's SSOP, HACCP plan and other food safety programs.
• Communicate and defend determinations on non-compliance issues and discuss plans for addressing non-compliance.
• Work with a variety of individuals to resolve problems, clarify differences of interpretation concerning HACCP and other food safety or consumer protection requirements.
• Advise other Agency inspectors, supervisors and officers on inspection and enforcement matters for which you are involved.
• Conduct various samplings, surveys and tests to obtain pertinent data on potential problem areas, industry trends, or other issues of current interest to the Agency.
• Be involved in performing health and safety verification sampling and tests for detection of specific microbes (e.g., salmonella, listeria, etc.), residues or contaminants.
• Assure that products approved for import are in full compliance with all applicable Federal regulations governing the importation of meat and poultry products.
• Authorize entry of all meat or poultry products considered to comply with Federal regulations or refuse entry of any products which violate any of the requirements for admission into this country.
• Coordinate with other Federal agencies (e.g., the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) on such matters as animal health restrictions and refused entry lots.

• You will serve as an Audit Liaison to the Fleet Cyber command enterprise's subordinate commands, field activities, and forward elements.
• You will provide expert technical advice and guidance to the Commander, Deputy Commander, and Senior Staff on inspections and investigations as the Inspector General.
• You will direct workflow and priorities to ensure timely accomplishment of the Inspector General Office's mission by mitigating risk and optimizing enterprise readiness through professional Inspector General products and services.
• You will supervise the Inspector General staff and perform technical, administrative, and management tasks and provide provide justification, direction, and allocation of resources (people, budget, material).

• Responsible for developing and accomplishing fire prevention inspections and developing an education program in assigned areas of responsibility at the installation.
• Conducts physical inspections of large, complex, and highly fire prone post and range facilities including mission related facilities.
• Determines potential fire hazards, existing fire hazards, and works with operating officials, project officers, etc., to eliminate, prevent, or reduce the hazards.
• Incumbent inspect fire protection systems that include automatic heat detection, automatic smoke detection, and dry chemical extinguishers, wet pipe sprinklers, dry pipe sprinklers, pre-action sprinklers, and deluge systems.
• Reviews work requests involving alteration and extension of existing facilities.
• Develops special educational materials and programs for the building coordinators required.
• Serves as a fully trained member of a firefighting crew engaged in the protection of life and property.
• Serves as certified Hazardous Material Technician, responding to hazardous chemical spills on the Installation.

The incumbent serves as the Chief of the Quality Assurance Unit. To carry out this responsibility, the incumbent performs the following duties and responsibilities:

• Assesses, develops, implements, and manages the Unit's programs, policies and services and assures they are consistent with DTM organizational goals, priorities and practices.
• Formulates and carries out program plans.
• Analyzes new and emerging issues while developing strategies and solutions to respond to these in the form of new procedures and methods.
• Ensures the program is administered in accordance with pertinent regulations, policies and procedures.
• Evaluates staff and organizational effectiveness in accomplishing assigned goals and tasks and trouble-shoots problems that arise in accomplishing the goals and objectives of the Unit.

• Conducts research and completes purchase requests for supplies/equipment for multiple Resident Agencies. Serves as a Government Purchase Card cardholder for the field office, maintaining records of all procurement actions and ensuring compliance.
• Serves as the office property custodian for multiple Resident Agencies; inventories accountable property and equipment; disposes of excess property; conducts annual accountable property inspections.
• Supports the AO with managing the field office GOV fleet, including assisting multiple Resident Agencies with ordering new and replacement GOVs, manage license plate registrations/renewals, monitoring preventative maintenance and service requests.
• Monitors staff compliance with mandatory training requirements and reports any delinquencies to the AO or supervisor. Ensures that training records and files are maintained, updated, and retired according to applicable record retention schedules.
