Key tasks

What do I need?

- Knowledge of maintenance practices on industrial plant.

- Knowledge of control and instrumentation equipment such as: Process measurement instrumentation (pressure, flow, temperature, PH etc.), pneumatic control valves and equipment, CompEx and SIL systems, PLCs, distributed control (DCS) and industrial network communications.

- A broad understanding of Health and Safety, a certificate in IOSH or NEBOSH would be advantageous.

The Health and Safety, Data Protection and Compliance Officer will be responsible for developing a tight framework and strong culture of compliance and awareness as well as contributing towards policy improvements and development in a dynamic and continually improving School.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and update comprehensive policies to ensure compliance with legislation and best practices.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate identified hazards.
• Design and deliver training programs to ensure staff and student awareness and compliance.
• Lead investigations into incidents and complaints, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Monitor adherence to regulations through regular audits and inspections.
• Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.
• Foster a positive safety culture and encourage the reporting of concerns.
• Act as the primary contact for regulatory agencies and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of activities and ensure data protection compliance.
• Develop and oversee processes for handling appeals, complaints, and grievances.

• Starting from between £38,632 and £49,112 rising to £52,556 through performance management.
