Engineering QA Inspector

We have an exciting opportunity to join our client in the Canterbury area as an Engineering QA Inspector. This role will involve the inspection of vendor supplied products and verifying that the product meets all the drawing and specification requirements prior to release to stock.

Hours:

08:00 - 16:30 Monday - Thursday

08:00 - 13:30 Friday

Other duties will involve:

• Working proactively and prioritising inspection activities to keep the assembly lines supplied with product.
• Carrying out minor reworks such as FOD removal and component cleaning.
• Proactively moving between QC locations to ensure efficient and effective inspections.
• Understanding and able to carry out independent inspections and CEO inspections.
• Recording data accurately, both electronically and handwritten.

The role:

As a Supplier Quality Engineer you will have a role that is out of the ordinary. You will ensure product quality from inventory suppliers. This includes conducting supplier audits, managing corrective actions, and monitoring product quality.

Day-to day, you will:

• You'll oversee the First Article Inspection process and maintain supplier quality standards
• Lead supplier quality audits, build strong supplier relationships, and manage corrective actions
• Monitor supplier product quality performance and provide documentation for issue resolution
• Participate in cross-functional projects and provide expertise in supplier quality assurance
• Ensure supplier conformance to specifications and compliance with quality standards

Essential experience of the Supplier Quality Engineer:

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret engineering drawings
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Qualifications for the Supplier Quality Engineer:

• Auditor qualification and willingness to travel
• AS9100 Aerospace Standard knowledge, desirable bonus

My client, a major highways management contractor are looking for multiple Control Room Operators / Customer Service Agents to work with them on a long term contract which could turn into a permanent role. This role is part of a 30 year Framework with National Highways.

This Dartford based role will include working in a team in a control room environment where you will have a mixture of busy and quiet shifts. Duties include providing customer service support, alerting the emergency services and highways maintenance operatives aware of any incident's on the M25, deploying resource, logging all incident information and a comprehensive timeline as well as making arrangements of the clean up and repair.
