Job Description

Research Fellow position is open in the research group of Assistant Professor Zhao Lin, at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National University of Singapore (NUS).

The Research Fellow will work closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) on theories and applications of learning-based control. The project will investigate and develop both deep reinforcement learning algorithms and conventional robust adaptive control methods, to develop safety-critical learning-based control algorithms that leverage the advantages of both model-based and model-free methods. In particular, the developed algorithms will be demonstrated through robust control of drones.

The initial appointment duration is 12 months, which can then be extended based on an evaluation at the end of the initial appointment.

The candidates will be responsible for conducting theoretical research and algorithm development. The candidates are expected to help the PI supervise junior PhD students as well.

The candidates should have a Ph.D. degree from a reputable university, with expertise in robust adaptive control, reinforcement learning theory, collision-avoidance trajectory optimization, etc.

A successful candidate should have a solid mathematical background (such as in calculus, linear algebra, optimization, etc.). Strong publication records in leading journals and conferences are required.

Qualifications

• Possess a Ph.D. Degree in either Electrical Engineering or strictly related (e.g., Mathematics, Computer, Communication, Mechanical, or Information Engineering).
• Have substantial research experiences in robust adaptive control, reinforcement learning, learning-based control, model predictive control, etc.
• Possess a strong academic record proved through coursework (especially math-intensive courses) and projects during his/her undergraduate and doctoral studies.
• Strong publication records in leading journals and conferences are highly valued
• Excellent communication skills as he/she is required to publish and present results at conferences and journals independently.
• Have well-established analytical and problem-solving skills, as documented by publications that are relevant to the field of reinforcement learning and control for robotics applications.
• Activity performed in world-class research environments is highly valued.

DESCRIPTION

The Regulatory Compliance Manager reports to the Project Director and shall be responsible for the effective design effort and coordination of the Sub-Contractor's discipline engineering professionals. The Regulatory Compliance Manager shall ensure that all de-signs comply with the requirements of the Work; that all Work is efficiently and effectively executed in accordance with the criteria, specifications and standards listed in the CONTRACT; and that the designs comply with safe and reasonable standards as accepted within the offshore oil and gas industry. The Regulatory Compliance Manager shall be responsible for his/her scope of work as given below:

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop Regulatory Permits & Consents Compliance Plan for the project including all active and passive statutory and Classification compliance requirements.
• Review Compliance Plan with Client and Class Authority, and report as necessary.
• Monitor changes in regulations to ensure the project is designed and installed to satisfy the correct edition of statutory and Classification requirements.
• Inform all disciplines of Regulatory and Classification requirements.
• Monitor the submission of Regulatory Compliance documentation and maintain master file of all Regulatory Permits & Consents.
• Monitor the issue of acceptance or permits by the Regulatory bodies and Classification society.
• Handover Regulatory Permits & Consents Compliance Plan to CLIENT/Operator indicating dates when permits and consents are required to be renewed.
• As necessary, participate with Project Management in negotiation and establishment of contracts for Class review and Regulatory Compliance at bid, FEED, or sanction stages of project.
• Provide Regulatory audit functions for accuracy of PO certification and inspection requirements within Regulatory Compliance scope (Vendor Compliance).
• Collect and promulgate Regulatory lesson learned during project.
• Support project team with respect to availability of appropriate / applicable codes and standards from Company reference library resource.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum educational requirements of a Bachelors’ and/or Masters’ degree in Mechanical / Chemical / petroleum Engineering or equivalent.
• Direct experience working on FPSO projects.
• Experience working with regulatory bodies in West Africa, China, and Europe.
• Minimum 15-18 years’ experience, with Oil & Gas projects (fixed installations and FPSOs), with significant experience working as a Project Manager or Lead Engineer.
• Must have prior work experience with medium/ large sized brownfield and/or greenfield projects in the upstream Oil and Gas sector, in a similar role and possess a good understanding of project phases, milestones, deliverables, internal and external interfaces.
• Good leadership skills to manage and develop a team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Oversee and guide the Quality team to ensure effective quality control across the entire warehouse department.
• Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to review and refine work instructions, ensuring clear and efficient operational procedures.
• Plan and conduct education and training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of warehouse staff.
• Identify challenges in warehouse operations, analyze root causes, and implement solutions to improve quality and organizational efficiency.
• Develop and implement Kaizen (continuous improvement) strategies to enhance processes within the warehouse department.
• Plan and execute Internal Quality Assurance activities across all warehouses to maintain high-quality standards.
• Support the warehouse department in meeting and exceeding customer quality expectations.
• Manage the tasks and attendance of Quality team members, ensuring efficient and productive operations.
• Foster collaboration with managers and staff across Sankyu and other warehouses to optimize organizational performance.

Requirements:

• Diploma / Degree in Engineering and QMS related field with min 2 years of relevant experience
• Team player, good interpersonal and communication skills, able to work independently
• Good knowledge in ISO related management systems

Senior Software Quality Analyst (Contract)

Job Description & Requirements

· Develop and maintain automated test framework on Java

· Expertise in Test lifecycle including Requirement Analysis, Identifying Test Scope,Designing Test cases,Executing Test cases, and tracking defects till closure

· Have worked in Agile project models

· Familiar and equipped with agile testing experience in scrum-based/Kanban based projects.

Requirements:

Duties & Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Engineering, Construction, Procurement and Project groups to review the scope of work in terms of deliverables to be submitted to the client, to finalize schedules to be met, and utilize resources required as percontract.
• Perform schedule monitoring and updating of project schedule, preparation of periodic Progress Reports with commitments & forecasts. Propose corrective actions and follow-up.
• Prepare various Weekly/Monthly Progress Reports.
• Analyse Subcontractor’s progress report, identify and highlight schedule deviations and delay.

Education Qualifications and other Requirements

• Degree with extensive Project Control experience on major projects working in a contractor environment is preferable.
• Excellence in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project and Primavera version 6 (and above) application is a must.
• Minimum 6 to 7 years planning & scheduling in EPC sector is a must.
• Familiar with standard software programs, developing S-Curve Schedule, bar-charts and manpower histogram is a must.
