This role will give you the chance to play a key role on ground-breaking and high-profile defence projects with values in the £hundreds of millions. You'll be part of an industry-leading team, working with Marshall and other major defence stakeholders and Primes.
Purpose of the position:
Reporting to the MRO Operations Manager the role will support and enable the MRO delivery organisation to deliver maintenance in accordance regulatory requirements. The role will form part of a hangar Integrated Project Team (IPT) supporting the MRO delivery Manager to ensure maintenance activities are fully supported and comply with business processes and procedures. Co-ordinate the implementation and optimisation of company processes to maintain a standardised approach across the MRO. Support the development a culture of continuous improvement within their respective Hangar.
Accountability:
This role is accountable for monitoring, reporting, and improving standards and regulatory compliance within their AOR. Supporting the effective closure and response to non-compliances, safety related events and environmental issues. Support and engage with Continuous Improvement, change and management initiatives within their AOR.
Responsibilities:

Assigned to a Hangar IPT supporting the enablement of maintenance activities.

Ensure Hangar standards are maintained, improved, and fully aligned across the MRO with respect to Quality, Safety Cost, d the environment.

Support the IPT to ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with business processes and procedures.

Co-ordinate the reporting of safety, quality, and environmental metrics for their AOR, to assist in the identification of trends and opportunities for improvement.

Single POC for continuous improvement activities within their respective areas to maintain a standardised approach across the MRO.

Single Point of Contact for all facility related requirements.

Co-ordinate aircraft movements within the MRO.

Management of surplus personnel during periods of low load within the MRO.

Support the allocation of support services including ground support equipment with the Hangar.

Support their allocated IPT with the completion of Containment, RCA and corrective actions following Safety and Quality events.

Hangar Point of Contact for audit activities, external contractors, and visitors.

Assist with the co-ordination of random drug and alcohol testing

The post holder will have Aircraft Operational experience, a comprehensive understanding of Risk management, Health and Safety and Quality Management Systems along with a good level of business acumen. Customer focused with previous exposure to identification and implementation of process improvements.

Degree level education - or equivalent experience

Experience:

Previous experience working in an Aerospace/ MRO organisation

In depth understanding of Regulation in Pt 145 organisations and relationship to Airworthiness

Managing relationships with the TU in relation to collective bargaining groups

Leading a team with a proven track record of the ability to influence internal/external stakeholders.

Provision of accurate forecasting and projections for current and prospective maintenance load
