This is an exciting new development support role with the WT&E Workforce Training and Education directorate which encompasses the requirement for the NHS to have a sufficient and inclusive workforce with the knowledge, skills, values and behaviours to deliver compassionate high-quality health and care to the people it serves.

The post holder will support activities within a team who is responsible for supporting system-wide development and improving capability across the healthcare system in relation to increasing supply, workforce assurance and provision of HR and OD advice and guidance.

The post is responsible for providing professional expertise to the outcome of the business processes for the team.

The postholder will also be responsible for supporting ad hoc projects and initiatives as they arise at the direction of the Head of Workforce Assurance, HR & OD.

• Performs duties associated with the administration of the quality assurance provisions of contracts by designing, implementing, and maintaining a risk-based surveillance program and assessment plan.
• Identifies opportunities for process improvements through analysis of process measurement data.
• Serves as a member of a multi-functional or technical team. Responsible for implementing the overall Quality Program for a diversity of products and services in support of U.S. Government acquisition at one or more supplier’s facilities.
• Ensures contractor compliance with all requirements related to the design, manufacturing, repair, overhaul, and modernization of a variety of items for contractor and customer activities throughout the world.
• Independently performs audits/surveillance of contractor’s processes to ensure customer and contractual requirements are met.

The post holder will be responsible for the implementation and management of ICS Data Quality Improvement Policies and Plan. The priorities for this plan and policies will be set by the Intelligence Centre Programme Board. Progress against the deliverables in the Data Quality Improvement Plan will be reported back to the Intelligence Centre Programme Board & the Digital Delivery Board Escalations of issues regarding achievement of activities within timescales should be via the Data Quality workstream lead, who will further escalate via liaison with the Intelligence Centre Senior Project Manager Lead the implementation of the data quality processes, policies and systems. And work to ensure they are established enabling data entered into the Information Centre assets to be accurate, relevant and timely. To work with different staff groups across the system in implementing and maintaining appropriate data quality standards and policies specific to their needs and to introduce regular reporting that is meaningful where required. Work with the System Intelligence function within BNSSG ICB in the implementation of new or changed policies and processes to ensure alignment across this programme of work and wider ICB/system Data Quality and Standards work. And contribute to policy or service changes in area beyond the immediate Data quality workstream. To fulfil the role of this function the post holder will provide expert advice on the development of policies and recording of NHS data standards and investigate complex enquires and provide support, advice and direction as required. Maintain and improve the quality of the data handled through the Intelligence Centre through regular inspection, audit, evaluation and feedback. To identify additional targets set by new national initiatives and to advise the Intelligence Centre programme on actions required to meet both these and existing targets. Organisation and Planning Participate in relevant Information Centre project planning, update and delivery meetings. Contribute to short, medium and long term Information Centre programme plans and achieving quality outcomes. Manage all workstream project update returns, including planning and workforce returns. Support workstream lead in identifying interdependencies across projects/functions, potential impacts on wider organisation, resource requirements and building in contingency and adjustments as necessary. Liaise with the Intelligence Centre Senior Project Manager to effectively plan and manage work package activities.Service Development and Research Support Intelligence Centre wide system to ensure information is properly managed and best practice is shared across the team, Directorate and the wider NHS organisation. Contribute to performance improvement, taking a lead for identified areas where agreed. Lead the implementation of Data Quality improvement programmes, in accordance with programme and sector priorities. Mapping the data collection processes across the system that are key to the Intelligence Centre programme and working with colleagues in different organisations to propose and develop improvement policies and improve such processes where appropriate. In conjunction with the workstream lead review and revise as necessary working practice, polices and processes associated with data collection in order to achieve high standards of data quality. Work with clinical colleagues to assist in the delivery of high quality useable data to inform national and local agendas that drive better information available to clinicians. Establish system for logging data quality issues, including method of resolution and where appropriate identifying common training requirements.Finance and Resources Support workstream lead in all aspects of the workstream budgets.Leadership and Management The post holder will manage the Intelligence Centre Data Quality team ensuring all HR processes are followed. To deputise for the Data Quality & Standards workstream lead as and when required. The post holder will be responsible for managing end to end work streams, implementing the data quality policies and proposing policy changes in other work areas for the Information Centre. Required to work independently to gather requirements and identify appropriate contacts and resource across the system. They will be required to manage the contributions of staff outside of the team and will provide regular updates to senior managers and clinicians. Established food manufacturer are recruiting for a Quality Manager, FMCG Quality manager to continue developing their career in a food manufacturing environment. This opportunity has become available due to an internal promotion and will report to the Technical manager. They will ensure tasks relating to quality, safety and legality are completed by supporting production, carrying out tasks outlined by the quality management system. We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance manager or an ambitious and enthusiastic individual with quality assurance experience within the food industry looking to take the next step in their career.

Areas of responsibility for the Quality Manager, FMCG Quality manager:

• Support the technical teams activity ensuring compliance with the site FSQM and any necessary audit standards and legal requirements
• Support factory compliance with FSQMS including managing and organising GMP and fabrication audits
• Support factory compliance with traceability requirements including leading traceability exercises and organising for tests of the system
• Manage and help maintain documents required to support FSQMS
• Manage the control of non-conforming products in the factory
• Managing the QA assistant team including the rota and ensuring shifts are covered
• Manage product labelling within the factory using labelling software
• Support the production of pack copies and finished product specifications
• Flexibility for occasional cover on shifts (only Monday to Friday)
• Manage calibration of equipment ensuring these are completed in a timely manner by external contractors
• Be an active member of the site's HACCP team
• Involvement with BRC activities
• Communicate effectively with production managers, supervisors, team leaders and operatives
• Compile KPI data for the technical department on a weekly basis for trend review
• Compile complaint information and support trend analysis
• Arrange microbiological sampling, and analyse trends from results

Skill set suitable for the Quality Manager, FMCG Quality managers role:

• Qualified with a Degree or equivalent level qualification or by experience in Food Science or related subject matter
• Previous experience in a supervisory/managerial position
• Experience in high risk food manufacturing
• This role would be the ideal position for someone who has experience of working in technical team within a food manufacturing environment
• HACCP L3/FSL3 trained
• BRC or BRCGS working knowledge of food standard/similar GFSI standard are preferred but not essential
• knowledge would be preferred but not essential as training can be provided
• Possess a good level of communication and attention to detail
• Experience of supporting FSQMS within a food manufacturing environment
• Good problem solving skills work to strict timeframes
