Your new role

Purpose:

• To inspect, assess and report upon the condition of roadside and other trees, ascertain the ownership of trees on private land and provide technical information for the serving of notices to remedy defects. To undertake specific inspections to gather information on the progression of Ash die-back.
• To maintain and update computerised tree inventories and inspection records, issue work instructions to contractors where required, and carry out a range of other forestry and arboricultural related tasks.
• Must be flexible in taking on additional tasks, willing to offer help to staff in other groups, and treat co-operation and support for colleagues as a top priority.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Carry out regular inspections trees adjacent to the highway and on other sites to identify defects which could be hazardous to the public or property, and locate their positions on plans.
• Ascertain the ownership of any trees with defects.
• Prepare reports and associated plans on defective trees so that notices to remedy defects can be sent out.
• Check after appropriate interval whether or not remedial works have been carried out and report back.
• Maintain and update records of tree inspections.
• Create, maintain and update inspection records and inventories of trees in the ownership of the organisation.
• When required, carry out specific inspections of sites to monitor the progression of Ash Die-back and when appropriate, make recommendations on management requirements.

• BTEC or equivalent Level 3 in Arboriculture, Level 4 desirable

• Membership with the Arboricultural Association is desirable.
• Knowledge of identifying trees and shrubs and tree pathogens.
• Recognition of physiological tree defects, diseases and disorders.

• Good communication - must be tactful and be able to deal sympathetically with the public, tree-owners, etc

Assessment Development Specialist - Test/Exam Designer
Remote/Home Based UK
Full time, 37.5 hrs per week

Job purpose:
You will join QA as Assessment Specialist working within our Content team. Reporting to our Senior Assessments Manager, this person will play a pivotal role in ensuring our assessments remain the top in the industry.

You might be experienced in running your own blog in relation to one of or all of the CLOUD TECHNOLOGIES we mention?

The role and what you will be doing:

• You will be ideally well versed in CLOUD TECHNOLOGIES including Azure, AWS, GCP etc and have an enthusiasm for commenting on or developing insights into new technical advancements and changes.
• Write clear, accurate, and relevant assessments for QA enterprise training, including but not limited to: certification preparation exams across multiple cloud platforms, including Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, and Google Cloud.
• Write/create role-based skill assessments for a wide variety of current IT roles including Solution Architect, Software Developer, or DevOps Engineer.
• Create both pre and post assessments which are formative and summative exams to assess learner progress through a sequence of modular training resources.
• Coordinate with Content team members to outline quiz development priorities on a set schedule and adapt to evolving priorities based on changing IT market trends, cloud and software technology and/or enterprise training priorities.
• Collaborate with the content team and engineering team members to design new assessment types.

Content Management:
Review and update existing quiz library to maintain currency with cloud platforms and QA courses
Integrate content management tasks, such as reviews and updates, into work schedule while continuing development of new content
