Under direction of management develops schedule to ensure the Quality Assurance Evaluation Program is conducted in accordance with Air Force (AF) Standards. Inspects lodging rooms, buildings, grounds, parking lots and other areas such as offices, day rooms, hallways and storage areas for quality and quantity of work performed by all employees. Evaluates and updates all general room instructions to include: guest directories, fire evacuation procedures, equipment instructions, sundry price listings, and informational signage. Corrects publications as required. Reviews guest feedback, analyzes data, and informs Lodging Manager of issues or areas requiring correction. Tracks trends in performance and conducts hospitality specific training to improve overall guest service and compliance with established standards. Responsible for monitoring the Lodging Educational Institute training program in accordance with Air Force Lodging standards. Works with section supervisors to determine training needs. Tracks courses required to maintain or earn hospitality certifications. Oversees and manages the in-house training program. Oversees small study groups or self-directed studies as needed to complete lodging courses. Coordinates with Lodging Manager and Assistant Manager to establish and maintain budgets for staff development, incentives, and recognition items. Ensures completion of hospitality training required for certification with AH&LA/ Educational Institute. Coordinates with the Lodging Educational Institute to obtain training dates, materials, and instruction plans. Assesses the effectiveness of training standards in all areas of Lodging. Observes and reviews processes and performance in the workplace and adjusts training programs to address any performance shortcomings noted. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following:

• Provides expert advice and assistance to the Scientific Analysis (SA) Director, Laboratory Director and Deputy Laboratory Directors in Hawaii and Nebraska.

• Provides leadership to the Quality Assurance Program (QAP), implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) established by the SA Director, provide administrative assistance to scientific staff, and provide advice to the Laboratory Director on matters of policy and procedure as they relate to quality assurance and accreditation under the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 17025: General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories and all supplemental requirements of external accrediting bodies.

• Utilizes appropriate project management techniques to coordinate and develop program execution plans for routine and special laboratory projects to ensure that the organization's strategies, goals, objectives, work plans and work products and services are articulated and communicated to the team when assigning projects, solving problems and/or program issues.

• Serves as the Contracting Officer's Technical Representative regarding contracts that pertain to the services rendered by external accrediting bodies that include annual fees for compliance monitoring of the SA Directorate and fees for accreditation inspections and annual surveillance visits as well as laboratory support services contracts.

• Is the Lead Security Manager for the SA Directorate and liaises with DPAA Security Directorate officials. Incumbent is the Point of Contact with the DPAA Logistics Directorate regarding aspects of security for the laboratory.

• As a Contracting Officer Representative, Evaluates the Quality Management System, ensuring that all contractual, regulatory, and administrative requirements are met.
• Provide advisory and hands-on assistance to functional area personnel involved in developing/revising technical specifications, Performance Work Statements (PWS), Statements of Work (SOW), Statements of Objectives (SOO), Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans (QASP), Performance Requirements Summary (PRS), and COR checklists.
• Review and evaluates a wide range of pre- and post-award contracting actions to ensure all regulatory and procedural requirements have been met.

• Serve as a subordinate supervisor to a Supervisory Veterinary Medical Officer (SVMO) in a large slaughter/combination plant.

As a Theater Aerospace Operations Command and Control Specialist, GS-2101-11, you will administer refresher and advance training to ANG military AOC weapons systems positional specialists. Instruct and evaluate AOC assigned technician personnel in advanced aerospace operations applications using current AOC weapons systems of record. Instruct and evaluate enlisted AOC specialties to become instructors. Instruct same to function within established joint doctrinal principles to support the planning and prosecution of theater level joint operations. Monitor progress during training and advise when AOC personnel are ready for positional certification. Supervisor must ensure that other workers in the shop wear the appropriate Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow pertinent safety precautions. As a SURFACE MAINTENANCE MECHANIC INSPECTOR, WG-5801-11, you will perform the following duties:

(1) Inspects a large variety of heavy-duty mobile equipment (i.e., combat, tactical, etc.) and automotive vehicles (i.e., attack tanks, large cranes, tank retrievers, fire trucks, bridge transporters, armored vehicle launched bridges, bulldozers, road graders, crawler tractors, power shovels, self propelled earth compacting equipment, self propelled artillery, etc.). May also inspect heavy artillery, small arms, powered support and other equipment or components of equal or lesser complexity. May assist higher-graded inspectors to perform inspections on equipment repairs.

(2) Inspects complex, interrelated mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic and electrical systems, equipment and their components while in operation or in a standby condition. Inspects and performs tests to braking, steering, and differential systems, which are mechanically integrated with the transmission; to large engines, which directly power multiple hydraulic and pneumatic systems; to intricate fuel injection systems; to turret stabilization systems; and to other systems combined in a single, complex mechanical assembly. Uses specially designed testing methods and test equipment such as computerized test sets, precision gauges, electronic sensors, injector test stands, engine scopes, etc., to assure that tolerance and safety factors have been met.

(3) Inspects equipment to determine repairs needed. Utilizes established Maintenance Expenditure Limits (MEL) to evaluate economic feasibility of repair(s). Considers a variety of factors such as cost and availability of parts, man-hours, and impact of time constraints on the mission to assess whether repair is economical. Recommends to a higher echelon to condemn equipment when the repair costs exceed the established MEL. Prepares lists of needed repairs, parts, and man-hours authorized. Performs in-process inspections to assure that equipment is being repaired in accordance with pertinent requirements. Performs final inspection, certifying that equipment is in satisfactory operating condition, or rejects the work and returns the equipment to the repair shop with specific reports prescribing additional repairs.

(4) Serves as inspector on Command Maintenance Evaluation Teams (COMET) and/or as a member of Maintenance Assistance and Instruction Teams (MAIT).
