The role
As a Quality Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will be focused on the Clean Energy Business in the UK, as well as providing support to our International Business, both in Japan and the USA.
Day-to-day, you'll develop an appropriate quality strategy for their business area, gaining agreement and sponsorship from the senior management team and in alignment with the Cavendish Nuclear Quality Strategy.
- Developing an appropriate quality strategy for their business area, gaining agreement and sponsorship from the senior management team and in alignment with the Cavendish Nuclear Quality Strategy
- Leads the definition and implementation of assurance activities for their business area, including supply chains and partnerships
- Supports the SSHEQR function in defining the business' processes, plans for quality and proposes quality targets for the business area; and monitors and reports accordingly
- Leads preparation for both internal and external audits
- Ensure that all Quality events are promptly investigated and resolved at the correct level, and that key lessons learned from events are identified and promulgated
This position involves travel/working across a range of internal and customer sites, as a requirement of the role.
This role is full time, thirty-seven hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with two days onsite based in Bristol, requires regular travel on a weekly / monthly basis in the UK.
Essential experience of the Quality Manager
- Good working knowledge and application of ISO9001 (essential) and ISO17025 (desirable)
- NQA-1 experience is desirable
- Ability to investigate events using industry best-practice casual analysis tools
- Good working knowledge of the Nuclear industry or similar highly regulated industry
Qualifications for the Quality Manager
- Science or Engineering degree (or equivalent)
- Charted member of the Quality Institute or registered on appropriate CPD Scheme
- Approved Auditor qualification (or demonstrable skills)
