ACI is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to join our team in Fort Drum, NY.  The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring IT system compliance with all applicable laws, DoD policies, and standards.  Perform system scans, analyze results, and write necessary reports and plans. Provide Network Environment (NE) and Computing Environment (CE) support, including implementing all applicable IA vulnerability alerts (IAVA), IA vulnerability bulletins (IAVB), and technical advisories (TA). Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), System Security Plans (SSP), Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms), and other related documents to satisfy Assessment and Authorization (A&A) requirements per NIST 800-53, FISMA, Risk Management Framework (RMF) and other government guidelines, as required to achieve and maintain an ATO (Authority to Operate).

What You’ll Get to Do:

• Implement and apply technologies, processes, and practices designed to protect networks, devices, programs, and data from malicious attack, damage, or unauthorized access.

• Maintain computer systems, networks, and other related device, including implementing all applicable IA vulnerability alerts (IAVA), IA vulnerability bulletins (IAVB), and technical advisories (TA).

• Investigate IT-related security incidents to determine the extent of compromise to national security information and automated information systems. May provide intrusion support to high technology investigations in the form of network assessments.

• Researches and maintains proficiency in tools, techniques, countermeasures, and trends in computer and network vulnerabilities, data hiding and network and device security and encryption. Performs duties in support of in-house and external customers.

• Configures and validates secure systems, and tests security products/systems to detect computer and information security weaknesses.

• Generates security architecture documentation.

• Provides critical written and verbal analyses of previously generated security architecture documentation and vulnerability and risk assessments.

• Develop and implement documentation to satisfy NIST 800-53, FISMA, and Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements. Designs and implements Plans of Action and Milestones (POAM) to remediate findings from vulnerability and risk assessments. Provides information assurance for digital information, ensuring its confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Responsibilities include monitoring and testing of IT systems for vulnerabilities and indications of compromise, incident response and remediation, and compliance with applicable government and other external standards.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

• An active DoD TS/SCI Clearance.

• Be able to obtain a Poly.

• Must have at least 5 years of interpreting and implementing DoD directives, instructions, and policies that provide direction and guidance and applying them to CE and NE.

• Knowledge of the Assessment & Authorization (A&A), and NIST RMF processes.

• Experience installing, maintaining, administering, and troubleshooting computer systems and networks.

• Experience with network security architecture to include, but not limited to firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), content filtering devices, encryption devices, and DoD Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).

• Qualified at the IAT Level II for the DoD Information Assurance Workforce, must possess one of the following certifications:  CCNA-Security, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, or SSCP.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

• An active DoD TS/SCI with Poly Clearance.

• Familiar with scanning tools (e.g. NESSUS, ACAS, etc.). Familiar with Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS).

• Technical Writing experience (creating/updating IA policy & procedure documentation).

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong presentation abilities.

• Must be able to work well on independent engagements as well as within a team setting; Strong client presence and interaction abilities.

• Excellent understanding of common computing platforms, including Windows Server, RedHat Linux Server, and vendor-specific appliance support.

This position in the Sterility Assurance Department will be primarily responsible for writing investigations/Excursions for Environmental and Personnel Monitoring with regards to assurance of sterility and being involved in technical projects from protocols to final reports.

• Extend help in collecting EM/PM data for investigation and author Investigation.

• Ensures all work is performed and documented according to existing Company policies and procedures, cGMP, compendia, and all applicable FDA (Food and Drug Administration) Guidance document requirements.  Perform cGMP training for department.

• Participates in other Quality System activities with other team members as needed.

POSITION PURPOSE

• Provides input and assist in establishing the vision and strategic direction for Clinical R&D activities as part of the R&D QA GCP, GLP and Medical Safety Operations Group.
• Provides Clinical QA oversight to ensure that global Clinical Operations activities conducted by Alcon for its medical devices and pharmaceutical products are in compliance with applicable regulations, guidelines and/ or quality standards.
• Manages the Good Clinical Practice (GCP) audit program across all Alcon franchises to assure clinical related activities are conducted according to Alcon and quality standards and applicable regulations with high degree independence.  

In this role, a typical day will include:

• Provides leadership and sound business ethics in the interpretation and implementation of global GxP compliance programs, computer system and/or software validation and related services and compliance training while ensuring Clinical QA independent assessments.
• Supports clinical research and development activities for all Alcon franchises and Technology Platforms to maximize standardization and compliance.
• Advises senior management of the need for corrective and preventive actions with a key advisory role in the development of action plans and monitoring of effectiveness of action plans as a result of internal and/or external Regulatory audits.
• Ensures senior management awareness of compliance issues impacting regulatory acceptability, by appropriately escalating as per quality risk management.
• Provides support to relevant functions on proper identification and escalation of quality related issues.
• Trends, interprets and presents compliance data and metrics according to worldwide legal and regulatory requirements and Alcon standards.
• Drives/facilitates projects in collaboration with stakeholders to evaluate and or implement quality/compliance improvement initiatives.

What You Will Do:

The Tester will support a high-paced client environment and a team of experienced application developers. The development team supports a large integrated platform, which deploys through a DevSecOps pipeline.  Tester will support the agile team within a prescribed Agile/SDLC and deployment process, which requires testing and supporting documentation to be completed at consistent milestones during each delivery sprint. Communication is paramount to keep to the sprint milestones to ensure a successful delivery and production deployment each sprint. Duties: Coordinate Chemistry Laboratory testing to ensure that all required samples (raw materials, in process, and finished products) are received and tested. Monitor laboratory activities and achieve a smooth and timely operation. Conduct quality control tests. Communicate and give guidance to chemists and technicians where required. Maintain an adequate supply of inventory levels. Order supplies based on workload requirements. Review of testing and documentation as required. Assist in the operation, calibration, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of laboratory instruments to ensure proper working order. Update and/or create monographs/SOPs to meet current compendial regulations/specifications. Oversee/perform investigations as required of SOP and cGMP deviations in the Chemistry Laboratory. Provide technical assistance on new and existing products to other departments. Assist and write events, technical protocols (laboratory instrument IQ/OQ/PQ) and initiate change controls when necessary. Undertake or oversee special projects (ex: validation of new equipment and software, and introduction of new tests or procedures in the laboratory). The position hours are for third shift (11:00PM – 7:30AM, Sunday – Thursday). Due to several types of tests that are conducted in the course of this position, individuals must possess 20/20 vision (corrective lenses allowed) and be able to make decisions on color. About the Role:

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Quality Control Responsibilities 

• Provide weekly KPIs and priorities for every Inspector on Manufacturing ( Intermediate and Final) and Receiving Inspections based on the Dispatch list. 

• Ensure the weekly KPIs are met and take corrective actions to address any anomalies.

• Managing any backlog with OT as needed.

• Proactively identifying risks in the department to the attention of the Head of Quality.

• Creation, approval and revision of Inspection Documents.

• Ensure all Inspectors are adequately trained on Inspection Documents.

• Ensure the validations of all First Article Inspections (FAIs) for all new / modified parts / products / kits manufactured by AHCA.

• Supervise the creation and revision of Quality Assurance documentation (Delivery Documents, PVL, Demande d’ Accord).

• Initiate NCs with Inspectors in a timely manner and manage containment of identified NCs.

• Lead and support Cost of Non Quality KPIs by proactively engaging in timely Root Cause and Corrective Actions, Implementation of Curative and Corrective Actions and Improvement Workshops.

• Ensure calibrated equipment assigned to QA are managed and returned for calibration on time.

Quality Assurance Responsibilities 

• Liaise with Manufacturing Engineering and AHCA Engineering for the satisfactory disposition of NCR’s.

• Support role in authoring of Technical Notes and other planned deviations or Standard Repair documentation.

• Support the review and ensure that processes are compliant to specifications for composite part manufacturing. 

• Support all Manufacturing Technicians in coaching them on the Inspection Acceptance Criteria.

• Ensure tooling definition delivers expected part quality level, participate in the review of new tooling definition and documentation, conduct tooling conformity inspection and recurrent inspection

• Participate in the validation and selection of materials, advise on part makeup (lay-up, bonding, surface protection) and cure cycles.

• Participate as needed for Design Change Requests affecting composite manufacturing.

• Provide oversight and feedback for AHCA generated manufacturing instructions to ensure compliance to engineering drawings.

• Participate in the review, bid process of manufacturing work packages and interpretation of drawings, material specifications, manufacturing processes, etc., during the setup for new manufacturing.

• Support Manufacturing Inspection related Internal and External Audit findings by identifying effective process based root causes and corrective actions.

• Identifying opportunities to mitigate risks related to Human Factors.

• Supporting all Objectives pertinent to Aviation Safety, Operational Health & Safety and Environmental Safety.

• Conduct performance reviews for all inspectors and maintain their time cards including vacation requests and sick day approvals.

Identify and Implement Process Improvements

• Identify relevant Quality Assurance Manufacturing Inspection training needs/opportunities

• Proactively identify Manufacturing inspection risks and propose improvements to mitigate them.

• Advocate and champion decisions based on data and support all Cost of Non Quality KPIs.

EDUCATION & JOB REQUIREMENTS

• College Diploma or equivalent in work experience & technical training 

• 5 years’ experience in composite component manufacturing environments, preferably in aerospace.
