This is an exciting opportunity for a Northwest based Compliance Contract Manager (Electrical & Fire Safety Systems) to take responsibility for the delivery of EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Reports) and the service and maintenance of fire safety systems.

What will my working week look like?
You will be homebased, living in the Northwest, within a reasonable travelling distance of our head office in Birchwood Warrington, to attend meetings and training courses when required. You will be required to visit our head office approximately twice per month.
What will I be responsible for doing?
As a Compliance Contract Manager, you will….
- Be the appointed person and organisational lead for ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations for Electrical Testing and Fire Safety Systems through the delivery of servicing and repairs.
- Effectively manage contractors to ensure the delivery of a value for money and quality service to customers.
- Monitor and report on budget expenditure and support financial planning and budget setting, developing, and maintaining asset registers and condition reports to shape future investment programmes
- work closely with key internal colleagues, providing technical guidance and support, along with developing design briefs and technical specifications
- be required to travel at times to cover the operational requirements of this role (you will live within the Northwest to be able to travel around our geographical area)
- have your own vehicle with mileage is paid at the HMRC rate
- be part of an ‘on-call’ rota (payment received for this)
- have experience of delivering servicing & maintenance contracts to a large and diverse portfolio of mixed tenure properties and associated budgets.

To be a successful as a Compliance Contract Manager, here at YHG, you will have….
- CIH Level 4 or equivalent or willingness to undertake this qualification
- BS7671 18th Edition Qualification, NVQ Level 3 Electrical Training Qualification or another recognised electrical training qualification
- An understanding BS 5839 Fire Detection & Alarm Systems for Building
- Experience of delivering electrical and/or fire safety system servicing & maintenance contracts to a large and diverse portfolio of properties and buildings
- Knowledge of building, construction and maintenance industries including the design process, contractual matter, and legislation
- Experience of producing a variety of written documents including responses to customer complaints, design briefs, technical specifications, performance reports, policies and procedures
- Experience of delivering electrical servicing & maintenance contracts to a large and diverse portfolio of properties and buildings
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation, including Control of Asbestos Regulations, Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety Order) CDM Regulations 2015
- Experience of setting and managing budgets and expenditure reporting
- Proven experience of managing contractors developing successful relationships, achieving challenging targets and objectives
- Experience of managing external contractors and the development and application of performance management procedures
Ideally you will have
- Ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbally) to a diverse range of stakeholders, and influence at all levels
- Ability to explain complex repairs & maintenances issues to a non-technical audience
- Ability to manage a number of services and projects simultaneously, often with conflicting priorities
- Ability to confidently challenge contractors for areas of underperformance and/or unacceptable behaviour
- Ability to strictly adhere to work schedules and deadlines
