Can you ensure the safety and compliance for our academy?
The University of Brighton Academies Trust is seeking a qualified, skilled and professional Safety and Compliance Manager to promote, develop and establish a positive safety culture within its professional services teams and academies to meet its legal requirements in terms of Health, Safety and Compliance. The postholder will take responsibility for operational matters relating to Health and Safety Planning and Management and contribute to the Estates & Facilities Management Strategic plan.
The post holder will report to the Director of Estates & Facilities Management and will be the primary point of contact for all Health, Safety and Compliance matters. The postholder will be responsible for effective day to day operational support, management, monitoring and development of Health and Safety for 15 Trust academies and Central Service Teams and their locations.
The role includes the use of CAFM software to connect service users and to improve efficiencies. The postholder will have a proven background in Health and Safety Compliance with excellent management skills to develop, drive and guide our central and academy teams.
The successful applicant will be experienced at developing a positive Health and Safety Culture within a multi-site organisation, achieving high standards of health and safety management and have the maturity to build strong relationships with academy staff and their respective teams to implement, monitor and review ways of working to successfully meet these standards. They will have responsibility for all operational elements of health and safety management across the Trust.

The post holder will be expected to work out of academy locations across the Trust and utilise Hastings Innovations Centre as a base location. There is an expectation for the candidate to travel between academies as and when required for which a mileage allowance is provided.
