To act as Solution Assurance Tester for Arden and Greater East Midlands CSU (AGEMCSU), supporting application specifications and developing the required knowledge to support an Oracle Database infrastructure. As a Solution Assurance Tester, you will be expected to: Evaluate, analyse, and interpret highly complex information and requirements to inform the design and development of system deliverables. Applying specialist knowledge, to define and create functional tests using well structured-maintainable code. The post holder will be required to maintain constructive relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders. This includes the CQRS technical development team, management team, NHSE/I and other key customers. As a Solution Assurance Tester, you will be required to attend daily agile development stand-up meetings, participate in relevant internal and external working meetings and provide information on testing outcomes and expertise. Provide and receive highly complex information and communicate results via test packs and through sprint demo requirements. In addition, communicate a range of assurance issues which can be complex and tailor these to the required audience. Design, develop and deliver creative and innovative approaches to execute test plans and test specification based on a variety of documents that outline both functional and non-functional requirements. Contribute to the review and development of an integrated approach to solution assurance and support the annual CQRS process assurance audit through collation of evidence. Proactively engaging in conversations to support the on-going development and maintenance of your own skills and knowledge, Implementing standards and policies, pro-actively identifying and proposing improvements or enhancements to meet changing Planning work of own and other team members to achieve agreed objectives, prioritising multiple and sometimes conflicting deliverables, escalating as appropriate, any issues which may impact deadlines Analyse user stories and/use cases/requirements for validity and feasibility collaborating closely with other team members and departments Execute all levels of testing (System, Integration, and Regression) and develop automation/test scripts when needed Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies and provide timely solutions. Apply quality engineering principals throughout the Agile product lifecycle Create logs to document testing phases and defects reporting bugs and errors to development teams. Help troubleshoot issuesV2 07/13 Design and implement test plans to highly complex requirements provided by NHSE/I and primary care specifications and lead all testing requirements within the CQRS system. Contribute to the development of solution assurance strategies and the development and implementation of improvement programmes in accordance with the CSU Supporting the Senior Assurance Tester monitor CCN commercials to ensure budgetary compliance and opportunities for efficiencies within the assurance process. Attend impact assessment planning meetings to support the management of resource costs and budget for the testing team.

Reporting 1. Production and analysis of data, and preparation of reports on service activity across a range of areas including catering, logistics, car parking, security, cleaning and estates. 2. Produce accurate and timely reports for the external performance monitoring of the directorate via provision and completion of routine performance returns and ad-hoc monitoring information. 3. Produce and submit regular information for the directorate Comm cell reporting. Ensure reports are compared with previous submissions with large changes being effectively investigated, audited and corrected prior to initial submission and resolving any queries as necessary. 4. Act as named designated contact for multiple service areas, operating as main focal point for reporting requirements and advice on informatics issues for the senior management team of the service. 5. Run and assimilate reports from the various facilities management systems and use other tools as and when requested. 6. Prepare and present progress reports against quality standards for Operational Services as required. 7. Produce information on request, for example for Service Heads, the Director or to support Trust Board papers. Trend Analysis 8. Identify and highlight changes in performance trends on key issues for the Directorate in order to drive service improvement. 9. Attend relevant meetings for the purpose of supporting senior managers and service leads with information analysis. Service Delivery & Development 10. Develop and provide key internal reports that facilitate clinical audit, service development, delivery of KPIs, SLAs and other important business objectives. 11. To implement systems for assuring that the service delivery is compliant with the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). 12. Contribution to the ongoing development of information systems, enabling efficient and intelligent access to performance information. 13. Identify and implement specific areas for improvement in relation to systems, or where manual systems could be improved by the introduction of electronic solutions. Governance and Patient/Customer Service 14. Improve patient experience and quality of services by undertaking and participating in audit and analysis and interpretation of data. 15. Work with the Performance Manager (Cleaning Services) to deliver the annual Patient Led Assessments of the Care Environment (PLACE), ensuring that action plans are completed and followed-up with the relevant leads in a timely manner. Communication 16. Provision of advice and guidance on analysis to key stakeholders, including service heads and directors. 17. Promote effective communication and team working within the Performance Team and with the relevant service teams, including key clinicians, infection prevention and the facilities management teams. 18. Liaise with the Teams Service Development Manager and Performance Managers, and all other necessary staff, to ensure statistical interpretation and analysis is consistent and interpreted correctly. Other duties 19. Attend meetings, as required, in order to understand and support the various teams with their reporting needs. 20. Co-operate in the provision of cover for individual job functions during staff absence and times of high volume requirements. 21. Deputies' for the Performance Manager and Service Development Manager at meetings, as required. 22. Any other duties as required by the Service Development Manager, Performance Manager (Cleaning Services) and/or the Senior Management Team in the Estates & Facilities Directorate.

Execute all levels of testing (System, Integration, and Regression) detecting and tracking solution defects and inconsistencies. Design and develop automation/test scripts (Automation first approach), providing timely solutions and supporting documentation, including test packs for customer(s). Present test evidence and lead discussions around findings. Complete all aspects of Functional & Non-Functional testing ensuring collaboration with the development team to develop effective strategies and test plans. Complete security test scripts on products such as XSS and SQL injection tests where applicable on products, generating detailed reports for technical and non-technical staff and stakeholders. Investigate security alerts and provide incident response, feeding back to relevant parties where necessary. Help troubleshoot and resolve issues and conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing Assist with the creation, maintenance and delivery of cyber security awareness training for colleagues.

Responsible for uploading all new CMG Risks, which are ratified at Board, to the Trust Register via Datix. To provide monthly reports and analysis to the Head of Operations regarding their status Act as one of the initial points of contact within the CMG management offices for all CAS alerts and disseminate to appropriate areas, tracking these to ensure compliance Interrogate Datix to obtain data for CMG management meeting reports Follow up responses from colleagues relating to overdue actions relating to mortality reviews and patient safety processes including Serious Incidents Make direct contact with families and colleagues inside and outside of the organisation, to arrange meetings as requested as part of patient safety processes To maintain effective working systems to aid the prioritising of work streams, including an active bring forward Maintaining accurate administrative systems for all files, interviews, training and educational sessions Attend other key meetings when requested to take minutes e.g. Perinatal Risk Group, Perinatal Mortality Review Panel, Complaints meetings, Incident review meetings To receive telephone calls and personal visitors to the department. Supervision The fellow will be assigned a clinical supervisor who will oversee work during their clinical duties. Assessment The fellow will be expected to provide a portfolio of evidence of their work during the placement as well as undertake work-place based assessments in keeping with Annex G from the RCOA curriculum. Clinical Responsibilities The fellow will undertake clinical duties in theatres, Intensive Care or delivery suite within the University Hospitals of Leicester Trust. The majority of normal working days will be dedicated to QI and management work. On call duties will be undertaken in the assigned clinical area. The on-call rota will be resident 1 in 7 or 1 in 8 rota, shifts of 12.5hrs with consultant presence at handover.
