Control Risks is seeking an Associate Director to play a key role in growing the crisis and security consulting practice across Southeast Asia (SEA). This position will focus on developing deep and profitable client relationships, driving the growth of the crisis and security consulting practice in SEA, and ensuring quality service delivery across our range of consulting engagements, including crisis management, crisis response, business continuity, and security risk management issues.

Building and maintaining successful relationships with existing Control Risks clients will be important for this role and identifying and pursuing new clients and business development opportunities to expand the crisis management, business continuity and security risk management opportunities in the region is crucial.

Role tasks and responsibilities:

• Cultivate, grow and deepen Control Risks’ relationships with security and risk buyers in our Client organisations, being seen as their “go to” person within Control Risks.

• Actively lead on business continuity and crisis management projects from first client enquiry to proposal development, task servicing, quality assurance and project closure

Essential:

• Experience in a corporate/consulting environment working with multinational companies in Singapore specifically, and across SEA generally

Role purpose 

The Associate Director will take a leading role in managing complex disputes, compliance-driven reviews and investigations, using forensic accounting and technology solutions, working closely with other Control Risks service lines including business intelligence, data analytics and crisis management.

The position will also be responsible for building and maintaining client relationships across the Southeast Asia region with a focus on winning investigations, compliance and disputes-related projects.

• Knowledge of the popular dispute resolution mechanisms (mediation, arbitration, litigation) and the role forensics can play in each.
• Commercial experience across the Southeast Asia countries, and an understanding of specific market characteristics in terms of investigation or other forensic services.

We are looking for an Associate Director in our dedicated dispute support practice for GCNA. This is a leadership role, and the successful candidate will have responsibility for growing and developing the practice in close collaboration with the head of the team and colleagues across different regions and service lines.

Role tasks and responsibilities

Dispute strategy and management

• Lead GCNA disputes work including proposals, project management, and client briefings.

• Ensure best in class execution and innovation around open-source research, source enquiries, and analysis.

• Manage and grow new and existing client relationships, with a focus on winning high-value, repeat mandates from law firms, in-house legal counsel and litigation funders.

• Play a leading role in developing our dispute support strategy alongside senior colleagues.

Business development

• Attend client meetings and pitch disputes work to prospective clients (external counsel, in-house counsel, arbitration practitioners, litigation funders) in GCNA and other regions, independently and in conjunction with local colleagues.

Control Risks is currently looking for an experienced Security Director to be embedded with our client, a large multinational company, based in Mindanao, Philippines. This role will play a key part in the ongoing development of the client’s holistic security programme.

The Security Director will lead the security function and assume responsibility for the delivery of the security programme specific to the client's operations. The Security Director is tasked with the development of the security plan, which will assess threats, risks and resources. They will also coordinate security and incident training for local security officers.
