Warehouse Team Leader - Huntingdon - £26,874p.a. + benefits. Required to provide full support to the Supervisor in the day to day operations of the warehouse. Previous experience in a similar role, overseeing a team of employees is essential. This role will include loading wagons ready for home delivery. The products are mostly mattresses, bed frames and bedroom furniture (heavy items) so please consider this when applying.

The Role

Rotating Day Shift - 7am-3.30pm - 1.30pm - 10pm

We are currently recruiting a full time permanent Warehouse Team Leader to provide full support to the Supervisor in the day to day operations of the warehouse, this includes the control and motivation of staff, the supervision of the flow of goods in & goods out and management of stock with use of WMS ensuring compliance is met with our legal and procedural company requirements. You will also be required to contribute to optimising our delivery operation so that we achieve a world class standard of customer service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Responsible and accountable for daily warehousing operations
• Organisation of the team in line with work requirements
• Preparation of the WMS to receive, dispatch, return or count product
• Monitoring of shift progress against the plan
• Review and report on shift performance on a weekly basis, identifying successes and areas for improvement
• Effectively plan and manage staff rotas alongside the Warehouse Super visor
• To ensure high standards are met in line with Group Health and Safety policies and procedures by use of the daily checklist
• To deputise for the Supervisor in his absence

• Previous experience of working within a logistics environment and using WMS systems

Working within our Procurement and Supply Chain team, this service critical role will see you provide effective and efficient procurement of goods, works and services within the Estates and Facilities categories.

· You’ll support the procurement service to achieve best value for money, cost savings and quality of service in accordance with the latest public procurement regulations and internal polices.

The Category Manager will be responsible and accountable to the Senior Category Manager to organise and manage the procurement work plan for a range of goods and services, across all our hospital sites. The post holder will advise and support managers and staff on procurement processes and help lead the Procurement and Supply Chain team as a whole ensuring efficient processes and value for money are continually achieved for the Trust and to benefit our patients and the tax payer.

The role will be organisationally based within the Procurement office at Hinchingbrooke Hospital.

• As delegated by the Procurement & Supply Chain Manager and in accordance with the Trusts’ Standing Financial Instructions, prepare specifications, invite tenders and quotations, and negotiate agreements, including disposals of redundant equipment. In addition place orders and contracts for goods and services including capital equipment, and associated service level agreements.

• Work closely with managers and staff on procurement workplans and provide sound technical and professional advice and information in order to achieve continuous cost improvements to influence the whole procurement process to ensure effective purchasing of goods and services is compliant with EU procurement legislation and other statutory regulations.

• Work with managers and staff at all levels, and through advisory groups, to regularly review products, rationalise usage, minimise costs and identify and achieve quality and/or cost improvements which reduces variation and support initiatives detailed in the Carter recommendations related to Procurement.

Corporate Responsibilities

• Supporting the trust and procurement team with the changing procurement landscape as a result of the Lord Carters productivity review in the NHS. Working to drive costs down through a reduction in variation, driving efficiencies’ through maximising the use of Purchase to pay platforms such as NHS Supply Chain, NHSSBS Oracle

• Provide guidance and support to stakeholders on the use of the purchasing ordering system (SBS Oracle).

• Participate in the development and maintenance of electronic quotation, tendering and contract management systems.

• To support the finance and procurement senior management team in maximising the use of current systems that derive benefits in procurement activity, patient level costing, bench marking tools such as Spend Comparison Service and NHSSC.
