Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Supportive individual counseling to Caregivers; Caregiver/Veteran couple's counseling when clinically indicated.
• Caregiver support groups; these may occur at the facility and/or in the community

• Active member of the Caregiver Advisory Board and serves as a liaison between the VA and community agencies; this includes participating in caregiver support activities in the local community and state to promote and recognize the role of the caregiver.

This position has job functions that must be executed within a specific geographic location. The official duty station is a federal facility, leased space, or an alternative worksite (typically the employee’s home). Positions include routine telework and remote work arrangements. • Provides legal counsel on Federal government contracts law and government contract-related policy issues, including but not limited to, transactional matters, acquisition policy, personal property, contract compliance, and litigating bid protests and contract appeals. Incumbent provides counsel on contract formation, administration, and termination for various acquisitions and performs legal research, conducts analyses, and prepares legal opinions on novel and complex legal issues.

The position's goal is to maximize rehabilitation and treatment potential while assisting Veterans in achieving abstinence, emotional, economic, and housing stability before returning to their community of choice.

FUNCTIONS OR SCOPE OF ASSIGNED DUTIES
1. Incumbent must be able to independently implement the recovery model of treatment. The incumbent will carry a caseload and develop treatment plans, and will utilize the initial assessment to mutually develop treatment goals with the Veteran and guides the plan of care towards meeting those goals.
2. Requires a high level understanding of treatment coordination and discharge planning, working within the VA system to assist Veteran in re-engaging in their community of choice upon discharge. Provides ongoing treatment coordination services from admission until discharge coordinating closely with the entire treatment team.

• Demonstrates knowledge of professional engineering concepts, principles and practices related to the design, testing, operations, maintenance and repair of facility, marine vessels, equipment and systems.
• Leads a team in the preparation of specifications and government estimates for the maintenance, repair and inspection of the facility and assets, which includes the buildings, yards, docks, bulkheads, pilings, shops, floating plant and land plant.
• Demonstrates knowledge of U.S. Coast Guard and American Bureau of Shipping regulations pertaining to safety, inspection, and certification of marine vessels.
• Serves as the team leader managing complex shipyard maintenance availabilities, ship construction and facility upgrade projects.
• Prepares contract specifications, government estimates for the procurement, maintenance and repair of structures, equipment and/or systems.
• Manages the technical operations of floating plant activities relative to the District’s navigation mission.
• Ensures that priorities are established to avoid disruption of operations.
• Evaluates current project costs to maintain economical production and evaluate efficiencies to assure accomplishment of the program consistent with mission objectives and budgetary constraints.
• As a Contracting Officer’s Representative, perform negotiations and timely execution of contract activities to support the District’s navigation mission in the maintenance and repair of floating plant assets.
• Responsible for familiarization and implementation of USACE safety standards and policies and demonstrating a safety culture within the workforce.

About The Role

The primary role of the Carpenter is to perform comprehensive carpentry work for both structural and aesthetic home modifications. All work is to be completed in a professional, timely, and efficient manner, aligned with 3Bridges’ core values.

Construct, erect, install, renovate, and repair structures and fixtures using wood, plywood, wallboard, and other materials.
Build and install frameworks, cabinetry, flooring, shelving, and other structural elements for residential modifications.
Assemble and secure components, ensuring durability and safety across all installations.
Fabricate custom wood fixtures and fittings, both on-site and in workshop settings, as required.
Measure, cut, and assemble materials precisely to meet functional and safety standards.
Provide structural support by erecting frameworks such as beams and trusses to ensure stability and longevity.
Collaborate with other trades to coordinate timelines and align on project requirements, achieving seamless integration of modifications.
Maintain accurate daily records of tasks performed, job costs, and client details.
Promptly submit completed job costs for invoicing.
Assist in ordering materials and verifying purchase invoices, keeping the Lead Carpenter informed of progress and client feedback.
Ensure all work complies with the National Construction Code, Australian Standards, and WHS and QA guidelines.
Implement modifications as per Occupational Therapists’ specifications to align with quality standards.
Communicate effectively with clients, understanding their needs, especially for elderly or vulnerable individuals.
Provide clients with relevant safety and maintenance information post-installation.

The yearly salary for this role is $75,000 - $85,000 depending on skills and experience.

About You

5years experience working as a carpenter in construction ( preferably residential).
Have completed a Cert III in Carpentry and Hold an NSW Construction Induction White Card.
Valid NSW working with Children Check clearance and NDIS Workers Screening Check.
Possess practical expertise in relevant trade skills.
Demonstrate the ability to efficiently program and coordinate building projects concurrently.
An understanding of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS), Quality Assurance (QA) management, and compliance with trades regulations
Knowledge of the CHSP (Commonwealth Home Support Programme) and NDIA (National Disability Insurance Agency) National Guidelines, specifically related to Home Modification and Maintenance.
Strong ability to partnerships with networks, providers, internal and external stakeholders to enhance and expand services.
