Your new role
In your new role you will be handling a varied caseload of legal expense-backed-dispute claims involving, but not limited to property, construction, and consumer contracts. Other responsibilities in this role will include renewing and advising on legal expense cover, assisting partners and senior solicitors with more substantial disputes, and monitoring and provision of management information to insurer client. You will also be taking part in building and maintaining effective client relationships. You will be supported well in this team and will be encouraged to deal with clients proactively while working on a steady flow of incoming cases.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be either a Senior Paralegal, Legal Executive, or recently qualified Solicitor with experience, preferably in:
Legal Expenses Insurance Litigation, Consumer Claims Litigation, or Property Litigation.
General Civil Litigation backgrounds are also desirable. You would need to have a demonstrable ability to take on responsibility and manage and progress files independently. You will also be an excellent communicator and team player with great client handling skills. Strong academics and experience of running cases from start to finish are also required for this role.

What skills and experience we're looking for

This is an exciting time to join us at Cornerstone Academy Trust, with schools based Exeter in East Devon and the coastal towns of Exmouth and Barnstaple. We are wishing to recruit a resolute and professional librarian who will work alongside our other librarians to support children of all ages across the schools.

We are looking for someone who loves books and reading, has a sound and demonstrable knowledge of children’s literature, and has a desire to assist children progress in their reading skills throughout their time at primary school. The postholder will use an online library resource management system alongside Microsoft Teams and Microsoft365 and so must be proficient in the use of IT. Each of our schools has a dedicated, modern, and well stocked library which is at the heart of the school and at the heart of the Trust’s strategy. We open the libraries throughout the whole school day including before and after school. The librarians ensure that we maintain a service across the libraries working with children and their families to build a strong reading ethos and culture within each school. We want every child to be an avid and successful reader.

You will not only be responsible for maintaining the library and the book stock but also supporting children in choosing appropriate books, tracking what they are reading, helping with author visits and in mentoring and tutoring individual children across the curriculum and in their pastoral needs to ensure they make maximum progress in their education. Like other teaching assistants you will play a vital role in the Trust to provide an exciting learning environment.

What the school offers its staff



Required in September 2024, the post is permanent. It is 40 hours per week, for 40 weeks a year (term time plus five non-pupil days, plus one week in the summer holiday). Normal hours of work will be Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5.00pm, with a 30-minute lunch break. Responsibilities for this Service & Repair Gas Engineer will include:

Undertake the servicing, repairing and maintenance of Domestic heating systems

Complete works in accordance with specification and gas safe regulations

Participate in out of hour's works, including overtime and call out

Undertake all other maintenance works within remit

What we are looking for in our ideal Service & Repair Gas Engineer:

Recognised formal training attaining the relevant craft qualification, NVQ Level 2/3

or equivalent

ACS Qualifications CCN1, HTR1, CKR1, CENWAT essential

Understanding of gas legislation

Drivers Licence

Job Two- Gas Installers- X1 Needed East Devon/ Exeter

Gas Installers are needed for permanent roles and contract roles

Pay Option One- £21.50 to £23.50 per hour for the first 12 weeks 40 hours a week plus commission on OOH and overtime to be confirmed on the individual and van, fuel card uniform PPE phone Gas analyser and eLearning supplied by our client

Pay Option Two- £232 per day, the engineer supply's own van and fuel and analyser and has own insurances and jobs are done on a price work

You will be working on social housing, on a full-time, permanent basis, working 40 hours per week and in return, you will receive a salary of £45k OTE Price work and contract Plus Company Van Plus Excellent Benefits

Undertake the installations of full heating systems to domestic properties, including Combi & System Boilers

Complete works in accordance with specification and gas safe regulations

Completion of all relevant paperwork

Undertake all other maintenance works within remit
