The Associate Chief Counsel (Financial Institutions and Products) has jurisdiction over the taxation of financial institutions, and financial products, as well as tax issues related to tax-advantaged bonds. The Office provides legal advice and litigation services/support to the Department of the Treasury, the IRS, other Chief Counsel organizations, other government agencies, and the public.

As a Senior Technician Reviewer (STR), the incumbent serves as a technical expert with respect to the subject areas and functions of the assigned Branch. Subject areas for which FIP is responsible involve the specialty areas of tax law as it pertains to financial institutions and products, including banks, thrift institutions, regulated investment companies, real estate investment trusts, insurance companies, asset securitization arrangements, debt modifications, options, futures contracts, original issue discount obligations, hedging arrangements, annuities, life insurance contracts, other types of innovative financial instruments and entities, and tax-advantaged bonds.

As a General Attorney (Tax) Senior Technician Reviewer, you will:

As a General Engineer, you will:

• Lead compliance test programs, conduct investigations, and serve as Enforcement’s representative on teams that conduct research and/or rulemaking to amend existing standards and promulgate new FMVSS and regulations.
• Provide technical and administrative support to facilitate the contracting and execution of complex engineering programs at contract test laboratories, including writing and maintaining detailed test procedures, as well as assuring milestones and deliverables are timely. 
• Ensure test programs are conducted in a manner which supports compliance investigations and produce test results and reports that are accurate and in the proper format.

Provides evidence based therapeutic interventions in encounters with Veterans to promote recovery and successful transition to community living and care. Designs, plans and conducts various psycho-social educational classes and process groups related to helping the Veterans understand mental health and their needs and the impact on them and their whole life system of support.

Provides clinical services to Veterans admitted to the RRTP, which includes DCHV (Domiciliary Care for Homeless Veterans) programming, addictions treatment, mental health treatment, and PTSD treatment.

• Assist in directing NA-113 staff, providing both technical and administrative direction. Assist with the planning and management of office activities and provides overall direction to the selection, utilization, and development of assigned personnel and the resolution of work-related issues.
• Serve as the Deputy Assistant Deputy Administrator responsible for applying a high level of technical expertise to assist with identifying, overseeing, and resolving complex engineering, scientific and technological issues associated with the NNSA's science-based Stockpile Stewardship Programs.
• Guide the development, planning and execution of experiments and pioneering new concepts to provide advanced diagnostic, assessment, technology, computing, and certification capabilities that support the long-term needs of the science-based Stockpile Stewardship Program (SSP).
• Coordinate with Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) for directing strategic planning related to program capability and technology modernization initiatives.
• Interface with the Offices of Stockpile Management (NA-12) and Major Modernization Programs (NA-19) on legacy weapons support, planning, campaigning, and other related issues that ensure the success of NA-10's overall stockpile functions.
• Represent NNSA's interests in collaborating and partnering with the Department of Defense on nuclear weapon-related research, development, test, and evaluation program elements.
• Coordinate with the NNSA M&O sites, interagency and international partners, academic institutions, and research laboratories to integrate OBS Program capabilities into broad national and international plans and priorities for experimental sciences.
