You will also have some opportunity to increase your hours through overtime.

Arcus cleaners take pride in keeping Sainsbury's supermarkets clean and safe for its customers. Cleaners will complete daily cleaning tasks to maintain the highest standard of cleaning within our Sainsburys stores. Tasks will consist of but are not limited to:

• Operating machinery


• Carry out thorough cleaning activities including mopping, vacuuming, wiping, and sweeping to ensure stores are kept clean.


• At times you could be in-store cleaning toilets, surfaces, ceilings, windows or even oven canopies

MAJOR TASKS/JOB ACTIVITIES

• To empty litter and recycling bins.
• The cleaning of all surfaces, internal glass, floors, furniture, fixtures and fittings within a group of buildings.
• The cleaning of all sanitary areas, toilets and showers and the replenishment of washroom consumables.
• Emergency and re-active cleaning as required, e.g. removal of graffiti, body fluid spillages, accidental spillages.
• The care and cleanliness of all equipment used in carrying out the above duties.
• Other tasks as may reasonably be required that relate to the role, including supporting cleaning tasks across other buildings where required.
• The post holder will be required to deliver to the cleaning specification requirements and to cooperate with performance measurement so that the overall agreed standards are met.

*Facilities Management has overall responsibility for keyholding to enable opening and closing of buildings that we service. As part of the duties of a Cleaning Operative and in this particular role, you will be required to be a key holder to fulfil these tasks. This typically would include operation of security alarm systems when opening a building, closing accessible windows and doors, switching off lights and ensuring that premises are left safe and secure when closing.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. About The Role
The main purpose of the role is to clean the main areas of the factory floors, edges ledges etc with some high level cleaning. High level will involve the opportunity to be sent on an IPAF course and be trained to use MEPS and other high level equipment.



This position involves working around a very busy factory, with moving equipment, fork lift trucks, robots etc.

The job holder will be responsible for deep cleaning areas around working machinery in the factory which will require good communication skills with their supervisor and ability to work at height in a demanding active environment.

You will be working over a 2 week rotation

Week 1 - Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 14:30

Week 2 - Monday to Friday, 10:00 to 20:00,

37.5 hours per week, on a permanent, full-time basis.



Role responsibilities and duties:

• Ensure that areas are always cleaned to the highest standards.
• Ensure equipment is cleaned, maintained and stored correctly.
• Deal with any management requests promptly and courteously.
• Always maintain Health and Safety standards.
• PPE to be worn at all times.

To succeed in the role, you will need:

• Ability to work quickly and to a tight schedule in a busy environment.
• Be punctual.
• To have a good attention to detail
• Able to multitask, be reliable and responsible
